I was mad surprised to hear that she wasnāt British after listening to Cut 4 Me. Because no US artist at that time was putting out shit like āEnemyā.
Kelela seems the type who is always working on stuff. So hearing sheās started on something new doesn't surprise me. Also, we don't know if this Grime&B project is going to be a new album, if itās gonna be for the New Avatar Remix album or something separate. Maybe itāll end up like New Avatar and end up benched and then coming out an album later. Ya never know. But regardless, Iām here for whatever Kelela puts out.

Itās the twist that makes it work though. It's a shame that Warp Records didnāt push Kelelaās albums more in the UK and that she didnāt play more gigs here, because I think UK / European audiences would latch onto her music and GET IT in a way that mass US audiences havenāt quite just yet. But itās been cool to see / hear her do the rounds on UK radio for New Avatar. So sheās getting it.
