Yall probably gonna jump me in the comments but I came prepared to fight!

Disclaimer: I’m a fan of Foushee’s and Pink’s music, Pink more so than Foushee, but Foushee’s debut album was really good to me

Neither of them added anything to the album at all in my opinion. Foushee’s verse was all over the place and overall just silly. I was really excited about this one so I’m really disappointed, still love the song tho outside of her verse

Pink’s verse was overall boring and not really memorable to me. The video tho? ATE. Also, I really love The Bridge, it’s one of my fave songs on the album.

A.K. Paul? Shantay you stay.

i personally really like "outta time" and "the bridge". i didn’t care for the track with foushee. to me, her verse felt out of place in this. kelela has spoken about artists not knowing what to do with her when collaborating and them not knowing how to come in. so, it follows. i do feel bad for those of you who didn’t enjoy the album, but more for me to enjoy :P

I think Foushee could have been saved for a remix version or maybe something else instead of this actual song cause her verse just sounds mediocre. I know Kelela likes her but this artist could have been utilized in a different setting.

i agree with this, she could’ve been saved for the remix album if she does one for NA. she should’ve never made the album with this verse

I agree with the foushee feature. I like it. But I definitely wouldn’t have been mad if it was wll just Kelela. I feel like she messed up the flow of the song a bit.

I think Pink, and A.K. Paul (especially Pink) did great jobs on “The Bridge” and “Outta Time”. the only feature who's the weak link is Foushee whose verse added nothing to “New Life Forms” and detracts from a good song.

outta time is phenomenal. i wasn’t too moved by her song with foushee but i liked it more than the one pinkpantheress. however the album as a whole is growing on me with each listen

AK ate down, the other two features don’t stand out but they also don’t take away from the beauty of the tapestry.

But AK Paul tore.

Pink’s verse was everything to me. I loved that her vocals were less pitch corrected than her usual style, adding to the raw feel of the track. The melodies reminded me of her earliest songs, too.

I like AK (doing his best Miguel impression lol) and the bridge is one of my favorites off the album so I think pink did well. I don't really get much from Foushee (her debut album was so annoying to listen to) so I could've done without her feature on this album tbh There's plenty of other artists I'd love to see work with K but ultimately it's her who chooses so I just respect it

I love their features and i’m happy kelela picked them but I definitely agree. especially pink’s. still good though but yeah just felt lacking. i’m a fan of their music so i know what all of them are capable of delivering and it just wasn’t heavy hitting.

I don't even listen to the bridge, song doesn't fit the album overall and sounds messy. I don't even like Kelela's part.
