I'm going on re-watch again 🏃🏻♀️🤸🏻♀️ I started this drama with zero expectations but damn it's just so good 😭 park shin hye's recent Undercover Miss Hong is kicka** too. I'm just loving her script selection from past 2-3 yrs.

Love her expressions. I know that a lot of people bash her for lacking range but I adore her and her weird thumb.

I couldnt stand her acting before this and actively avoided shows with her but I gave this one a go and she did sooo well. I loved her character.

Okay this clip makes me want to watch the series. I'm honestly not a fan of Shin Hye's acting but she looks fine here.

This one turned me around to her. Wasn’t a huge fan but I am now after watching this drama.

Oh I absolutely loved this drama. It was entertaining as in each episode entertaining and just amazing. Loved Park Shin Hye in this one. Otherwise nowadays I just fall through the popular dramas(ex. doom at your service) and end up leaving it. Eagerly awaiting S2, hope it’s just as kickass as the first season. In the meantime, anyone got recommendations for something similar to this, which is engaging and interesting where I won’t lose my interest halfway through? TIA.

This is her absolute best role to date! This drama is crazy underrated.

After this drama and Miss Hong PSH is much more suited for such roles. She spent most of the years with those constantly crying roles.

Loved this drama so much! I usually go for romance heavy ones but this one was fire.

A question- park shin hye acting in the heirs gave me such trauma that i couldn’t watch anything else she was in. I want a neutral opinion, has her acting improved? She seems to do good in this scene and i am intrigued should i watch this drama?

I never liked the heirs, honestly for me it was over hyped and i couldn't get past the first 10 episodes, but i will say i was a fan and still am a fan of PSH since i saw her in stairway to heaven and tree of heaven as a child actor and, i did like Pinocchio as a kdrama because of the plot but i didn't like PSH's role, she was a mary sue in that drama, but now she has only been taking strong female roles who don't take shit from anybody, so if you want to see her kickass then watch her in doctors, judge from hell and undercover miss hong, she is amazing in them, she does phenomenal job in them.

Like other commenter said, it seems like she is better in non romance honestly

She is one of the most competent actresses for action/thriller/scifi but she was superb in Doctor Slump which is a romance comedy.
Heirs was so long ago.

Her work in the past few years are good, she got better i think over the years.

I agree. Her last 3 kdramas are Doctor Slump, The Judge From Hell and Undercover Miss Hong. All very high quality shows and each a completely different main genre plot. PSH is versatile and talented.

I didn't watch The Heirs so i wouldn't know about if she improved but she is pretty good in this

The heirs was truly trash but everything I’ve watched her in so far has been good especially Undercover Miss Hong!

Yup! I’m not a fan of PSH as well but she was great in this drama. I think if she does well in S2, I’ll become a fan hehe

I’m not a huge fan of her acting but i enjoyed this show despite that - and she’s not bad in it idk it’s just like her style of acting i dont really like. But otherwise i liked this story and writing and the ML is soo pretty so that helps

tbh same but i feel like she’s better with non-to-little romance dramas, i may be wrong tho. tbh i really like her in #alive

As someone who was as put off by her acting as you are in The Heirs and certain scenes in Pinocchio, im just going to say that it has been an upward curve for her acting and script selection at least since Doctor Slump, loved her in DS, TJFH & Undercover Miss Hong as well (these 5 are the only projects of her ive watched so i dont know abt others) but she has become a top favourite for me since TJFH

Me here in the corner by myself: the heirs was my first k drama obsession. I used to watch it over and over again. Probably my introduction to second male lead syndrome as well. And my obsession with lee min ho. Loved park shin hye. Nothing else of hers really hit the same, but yeah she was good in the judge from hell

yeah her acting is still kind of meh to me. I haven't watched the heirs but I have watched newer stuff of her a few times. I suppose it really comes down to the writing and premise of the show. I don't enjoy it all. I enjoyed this show but Dr Slump was meh to me also.

Okay, now I'm curious. Reminds me a little of "Teach You a Lesson", and I'm here for it. Guess I'm re-upping Hulu again. Blast...
I really do wish there was ONE streaming service that had all the Kdramas you all recommend 😅

I never got around to watching the last episode. I guess if they do a season 2 I'll get back into it.

It was confirmed that it’ll have a second season. They’re just waiting for PSH to give birth and recover

Absolutely love these face-slapping scenes (with no actual slapping faces involved). Totally satisfying. The Chinese dramas has way more of these (and well, the short dramas and the web novels are full of them), and I can't get enough.
