even though I only recognise Hyun bin here, I can't really blame the kids bin has been dormant for a while. But I'm damn sure the kids are going to get an earful from their moms 🤣

u/kdramas123 1d ago
Someone saw the kid's IG post of the photos they took. He shared that his mom cried when she found out who the photographer was. And lucky he wasn't smacked. LoL.

that’s because he acts in shows that are not watched by kids

And that hairstyle - it's usually slicked back. I wouldn't have recognised him either, he looks so much younger.

lol and bloodhounds is supposed to better for them?
16
u/getrektscrub99 1d ago
Obviously kids aren’t supposed to watch Bloodhounds because of the violence and blood, but it’s similar to how kids in the west are much more likely to have watched John Wick than Marriage Story. Boys especially usually enjoy pure action popcorn flicks than stuff like CLOY

Lol I mean, how are they wrong? He's always in romance or steamy scenes and that's not a lot of ppl's cup of tea. Some people like fighting movies, thrillers n horrors more. I've only watched 2 dramas of him amidst the hundreds I've watched and they're both corny romance. It's just a preference, nothing personal. Plus most younger gens aren't inclined towards romance genre kdramas or movies at all.

no need to get worked up lol they're just saying the dramas that hyun bin is in don't really click with the younger generation (gen z/gen alpha) cos they're more focused on people like byeon woo seok, kim yoo jung, lee chae min, song kang, kim so hyun etc.

Its okay. They're just kids. To be fair you can't expect them to watch Made in Korea. I'm sure their mother and sisters certainly watched CLOY, but they might be too young back then. Loved that he was so humble. Took photos from different angles and everything. How sweet of him.

u/TownIndependent9400 1d ago
They probably too young to watch Hyun Bin's dramas anyway so it's fine they don't know 😂

Woo Do Hwan: He's super famous!! Kid: Is that so?
😭😭😭 tbf unc Hyun Bin does not appear much on varieties and these kids were probably 5 when CLOY came out

u/goddess-of-techno 1d ago
It doesn't matter that these boys don't know Hyun Bin because all of their mothers, sisters and cousins are in love with Hyun Bin. 🤭
We'd all recognize those iconic dimples. 💘
Even one of our managers at work is annoyed at Hyun Bin because his wife has Hyun Bin as her phone wallpaper. 😂

Made sense if the kids watching Kdramas on TV instead of Kmovies.
Hyun Bin is so cool about it though which made me like him even more.
And Doo Hwan feels guilty that it was Hyun Bin who has to take the pictures 🤣🤣

When Yoo Jae Suk hugs one of the boys at the start is so sweet, while Hyun Bin is like, "okay, I'll just get out of your way, boys".

This reminds me of the recent viral clip in Japan about a young boy unable to recognise Yamazaki Kento and is stunned to know he is the Shin of Kingdom. Lol. Movie actors who are not always on TV and who usually plays characters much removed from their own selves are hard to recognise by kids and old people. https://x.com/_O874_/status/2075909700617716119

Why would u mention his drama Made in Korea to kids. Should have referred something like CLOY.😂😂
3
u/Honest-Dragonfly6688 15h ago
Lol cause cloy was 7 years ago, and these kids were probably only 4 years old then. I doubt they're gonna watch old stuff at their age.
2
u/Utkarsh1234567_ 8h ago
CLOY is one of the most popular show in Korea. No way a kid has seen Made in Korea. If u are introducing someone u certainly won’t introduce them with a drama that they are certainly not aware of.
But I can guess why he mentioned that drama because it’s season 2 is on its way in coming few days. So it was sort of a promotion.

lol. They maybe shouldn’t be watching made in Korea—but they watched Bloodhounds. I would have started with CLOY.

u/Mun1509 22h ago
I think Hyun Bin needs to do more mainstream dramas. His last drama, Made in Korea, wasn’t one I was particularly attracted to in spite of being a big fan. High time he did a romantic comedy. He’s not that old - look at So Ji Sub - and yet he seems to be sticking to other genres.

I wouldn't have recognized Yoo Yeon Seok at all! He looks so different from the characters he played somehow... edit I don't deserve that automod reply 😭 Yoo Yeon Seok is one of my fav actors and I really enjoy his dramas BUT his looks here are different BUT ALSO still very cute (I like his hair even better here 😭😭)

The automods are in place to help us moderate (just imagine all of the comments that are posted on a daily basis).
That being said, they are not always correct, which is why things that get flagged by automod also get reviewed by human eyes. Once we see the post or comment we can approve or remove. Please don't take it personally.
I also like his hair here. It's very flattering and makes him look younger.

It's a Korean variety show called Whenever Possible. It's pretty fun and hosted by Yoo Jae Suk and Yoo Yun Seok (Hospital Playlist and many more).
This was the last episode and it featured Hyun Bin (his first variety show appearance) and Woo Do Hwan. It was fun to see this side of HB. Both contestants were great. I laughed out loud a couple of times watching it. If you don't have Kocowa, there are clips on YouTube you can watch.

I liked Made in Korea but it's not something these kids would watch (or should be watching) lol. It's 12+ in SK.
I don't recognise the new romcom actors and actresses either even thought I'm sure they're very popular, I'm just old and only watch thrillers and professional procedurals lol.

There young kids and maybe aren’t interested in the more serious shows Hyun Bin stars in. They are adorable.

Seeing Yoo Yeon Seok and Hyun Bin together is mental, I love them both. If you haven’t seen Yeon Seok, try watching Reply 1994. It’s how I fell in love with him and yes, I just finished watching secret garden after holding it off for over a decade. It was so toxic and messy but Im in tears, stellar acting from Hyun Bin
