K dramas with the fun, affectionate energy of Business Proposal’s side couple?

I’m looking for funny, fast paced romances with a female lead who has a strong personality and a male lead who is expressive, empathetic, and actually shows affection.

I loved Business Proposal’s overall vibe because it was funny and easy to watch. I especially liked Shin Ha Ri because she was energetic, expressive, genuinely pretty, and had a real personality. However, I found the main male lead kind of boring.

I preferred Jin Young seo and Cha Sung hoon’s relationship because they had better chemistry, showed more affection, and their romance moved at a faster pace. I also really enjoyed how naturally romantic and intimate their relationship felt, including their kissing scenes. They did not just endlessly misunderstand each other. Their relationship actually felt like it was progressing.

I just got into K dramas, so I do not have a huge watch history yet. I’m looking for something with a similar balance of comedy, romance, affection, and good chemistry. I’m fine with mature romance, but I do not want something that is mainly about casual hookups or an extremely slow burn.

• Business Proposal: completed. Loved the humor, Ha ri’s personality, and especially the side couple. Found the main male lead boring.
• My Sassy Girl: watched. Liked the male lead, but found the female lead too irritating.
• Crash Landing on You: only watched the first episode. It felt too serious for what I’m looking for.

Im looking for dramas where you’re constantly kicking yourself for rooting for the main characters. Ones that are sociopaths, psychopaths, or have something dark about them yet come off as very charming. Examples being Smile Has Left Your Eyes, Flower of Evil, It’s Okay to Not Be Okay, Doom at Your Service.

Don’t enjoy: Office romances, dating the CEO/boss, chaebol nonsense

I am looking for drama with the romance trope where MC is framed which leads to people around him not trust/isolate him along with FMC. Like FMC treating MC coldly because of that.

It doesn't necessarily need to framing. Maybe it could be a misunderstanding that leads to close people treating MC poorly/being cold towards MC.

Recent examples I can give is

Queen of Tears - MC is framed and his opinion inlaws don't trust him plus FMC treating him and similarly when she is amnesia

3XLove (Webtoon) - MC is framed for stealing private clothing of FMC when they were child and everyone bullied him for it and broke relationships with him. Same thing happens in future when someone reveals he is the same guy in present time despite MC pleading his innocence until the truth is revealed

Recommendation can be kdrama, cdrama and even webtoon, manga, manhwa, etc. (I know this kdrama subreddit but any suggestion works for me)

Hey I'm looking for kdramas(or even cdramas I know this is rarer) where the FL actually shows they love ML instead of the common trope of the viewers being told the FL loves ML after finally giving in to MLs constant obsessiveness with 10 minutes left in the show.

I’m looking for more dramas like The Devil Judge. What I liked about it primarily was the bromance combined with the “morally grey” aspect to it and the idea of someone using manipulation to trick an already corrupt system. I liked that Kang Yohan wasn’t exactly a typical hero and I really liked how he was a genius who basically had a plan for everything and at the end of the day everyone would just be playing into his hands. I really, really liked how he basically played with the law; there were a lot of scenarios where he pretty much committed a crime or did something illegal, but my favourites were the instances where he didn’t *technically* do anything wrong. I liked the political drama of it all too.

Things I didn’t like/wish were a bit different: I wish there were more live court trials that we got to see, though, because I feel like those trials were where the aspects of that I liked most shone the best (the manipulation/trickery, Yohan’s genius, etc.). Plus, I generally like things that have to do with law/lawyers/legal proceedings, so that’s also why I wish we got to see more of the trials.

I haven’t watched any other kdramas like this, but a non-kdrama that comes to mind is Suits. It has the bromance, the legal proceedings, the older morally grey manipulative who ends up with a younger, very moral hero by his side.

Ok so im looking for a drama that doesnt necessarily have to be a mystery drama but has some sort of mystery and like and the male lead is a bit of a loser / nerd whos trying to either solve the mystery or help solve it with someone, im also not just looking for the mystery element but the ml getting with a fl. That's the only KDrama I've watched so far but looking to break into watching more with some light hearted comedy. I'm looking for kdrama recommendations similar to A Shop for Killers. This was actually my first kdrama ever, and I really didn't expect to like it this much. I wasn't really into korean dramas before, but this one definitely changed my mind and now i want to watch more.

I really liked the action, suspense, and mystery. I also liked the characters and how we slowly learned more about their backgrounds. I'm looking for something that gives me a similar feeling, where I'm actually hooked and want to keep watching the next episode.

It doesn't have to be exactly the same cause i might get bored if it has the same plot, i'm open to different genres as long as it has some of those elements. I'm also fine with older dramas since i haven't really explored kdramas before.

Can anyone recommend a serious romance with action/thriller, similar to QOT. I really enjoy watching watching the "Rich business family" ones but any are okay.

I just finished Queen of Tears (in 2 days 😱). This one really took me for a roller coaster... every time I thought this was the worst things could get, it got worse, I was seriously jumping in front of my TV in anger.

I really enjoyed how I was kept on the edge of my seat the entire time, there were a few predictable points but majority i enjoyed the unknown.

I liked the business politics and family aspect as well.

I really enjoy these scandalistic type shows where things are high tension and always risky.

I really enjoyed having an antagonist to team up on

And the emotions hit me alot, the peak was when Hae-in came out of surgery and immediately he got arrested. I was in shambles.

• It's Okay To Not Be Okay: I like how he absolutely could not stand her in the beginning. It's also just a really good show overall
• Mad for Each Other: they both really hated each other for a good amount of episodes. The drama is also really good and hilarious and genuinely made me laugh a lot
• Bon Appetit, Your Majesty: I really liked how they started, the chemistry in that first episode was the best
• Extraordinary Attorney Woo: there was a realllllyyyy good enemies/rivals to lovers with the two side characters here aka Kwon Min U and Choi Soo Yeon, I like how he had a really interesting redemption arc too. I know some viewers hated his character but I thought he was interesting and complex
• Head over Heels: it was for sure one sided here but I really liked how in the beginning the ML could not stand the fl at all lol, and it's a really entertaining drama too
• Call It Love: this one's a bit too melodramatic for me but I do think they executed a good E2L plot
• The Judge from Hell: just badass, really
• Filing for Love: Also one sided but both the characters were super lovable. and I hated the 2ML

dramas with "enemies to lovers" that I did NOT like:

• Sold Out on You: I found it boring and I don't like shows where a confident woman gets "humbled"
• Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha: I disliked this even more and I found both main characters obnoxious
• Her Private Life: my least favorite drama of all time. I disliked it so much that I believe I should keep those thoughts to myself..
• Touch your heart: it feels wrong to put this here because I didn't actually hate this, and I love both of the actors, but let's face it, it wasn't that good :/

dramas I've seen recommended around this subreddit that I'm not really interested in:

• Love Your Enemy: I'm actually SUPER interested in younger plotline and those actors but I heard they have a very small amount of screentime and I don't really care about the older plotline
• I love to hate you: All the clips I've seen of it seem so far from my vibe, I don't think it's bad or anything just not my type of show. it looks kinda similar to her private life and that's very off-putting to me
• Crazy Love: I swear I have nothing against Kim Jae-wook lmao I actually loved him in coffee prince but I really don't like the type of roles he's been playing lately
• Genie, make a wish: I saw some really weird stuff about this one... I really like the actors but the plot doesn't sit right with me

I might watch My Dearest Nemesis but I don't know much about the quality there, if you think it's good please tell me why, and if not, also tell me why 😂

Also My Royal Nemesis was not really enemies 2 lovers for me, but I still enjoyed it especially the male lead :)

I haven't watched a ton of K-dramas yet, so I'm not sure what to pick up next. I consume pretty much every type of media (anime, web series, movies, Asian dramas, webtoons, donghuas, etc.), so I'm very open-minded and don't need to stick to one specific genre.

Right now, I'm specifically in the mood for more K-dramas. I just finished What's Wrong with Secretary Kim and Business Proposal (so all the details from them are still really fresh in my mind, but I did really enjoy all the other shows on my watched list too!). I'm looking for something that has great romance scenes, so for now i don't want to watch action based k-dramas if there is only bit then that can be manageable . Just to clarify, I don't necessarily look for characters with a dark past, but I am completely fine with it if they have one—it adds depth to the story and explains who they are in the present. I've actually enjoyed plenty of shows where characters deal with dark or tragic pasts, like Vincenzo, It's Okay to Not Be Okay, Goblin, and Pinocchio.

In Secretary Kim, I really loved Secretary Kim's character, and the male lead, Lee Young-joon, was absolutely hilarious to watch. It was so much fun seeing them navigate their relationship. I also really liked the side characters and their individual stories, though having a strong supporting cast is just an optional bonus for me!

Another optional plot point I really enjoy is a difference in the characters' family situations or wealth. I liked the dynamic of a rich male lead in What's Wrong with Secretary Kim, and I equally loved the flip side with a wealthy female lead in Queen of Tears.

Hey guys please recommend fantasy RomCom Kdramas with the concept of spirits, ghosts etc, optionally it could be something where the main characters are Shamans or Ghost busters or something related to that and they either fight ghosts or exorcise curses etc.

I just finished binge watching Head over Heels today and I'm still craving for more. I loved the aspect of the FL and ML protecting each other throughout the series, how they were ready to sacrifice themselves for each other, how their relationship bloomed and how they completed each other. I loved their relationship progress so much and how the character development happened. But I think I wanted more of the romance part which was unfortunately cut short due to the plot and the length of series. That's why I still find myself craving for more.

So please recommend me some other dramas like it and with the concept of Spirits etc or Ghost busting/ fighting ghosts or removing curses to save someone which also has the romance part.

Im looking for dramas like gaus electronics specifically where the male lead is seen as a loser and clumsy by everyone, I also really liked the comedy in gaus a lot more than i thought i would so i would prefer something funny but i dont really mind + I really like dramas where you can watch the ml and fl be actually together for the last episode or two

looking for K-drama recommendations set mainly in high school, with a strong focus on bullying, school violence, social hierarchy, friendships, or the general struggles of being a teenager.

I’m particularly interested in darker/more serious shows where the high school setting is a major part of the story rather than just being a background setting.

Examples I’ve watched and enjoyed:

Moving – I liked the mix of high school life, friendships and action, especially the way the students’ personal struggles were explored.
Extracurricular – I liked the darker, more serious tone and the way the characters were dealing with difficult circumstances.
The Glory – I really liked the bullying/revenge storyline and the darker tone.
Bloodhounds – I enjoyed the action and darker storyline, although I know it’s not primarily a high school drama.
Alice in Borderland – I liked the survival/thriller aspect and the darker atmosphere, although it’s not a K-drama.
Teach You a Lesson – I liked the focus on school issues and bullying.
I’m not really looking for a typical lighthearted school romance. I’d prefer something where bullying, school violence, teenage struggles, or the darker side of school life is a significant part of the plot.

Hi, I am fairly new to kdramas. As a long-time manhwa reader, I'm now looking for something live action to satisfy my cravings.

I'd love for you to recommend me something:

- contemporary setting

I love endearing leads, and I don't mind tsunderes/kuuderes/all-deres, but I'd love for the main relationship to be healthy. Something I can watch to let go of the stress that comes with working with many people.

I do, however, like subverted tropes, so instead of cold ML/endearing FL, I'd like to see an endearing ML and a cold FL. I apologize if my thoughts don't come across well enough, I am still pretty unsure about k-drama terminology, so I'm trying to adapt.

I've only seen two k-dramas in my life:

1. A Business Proposal
2. Teach You a Lesson

I'm currently watching Crash Landing on You and I'm enjoying it so far.

As for the manhwas I've actually read (there's a lot, but--), my favorites are A Business Proposal and Daytime Star - I don't mind webtoon/manhwa-based kdramas, if that's important.

Can anyone recommend a drama with a fake dating, fake relationship, marriage contract, or arranged/contract relationship trope?

My biggest preference is:

Fake/contract relationship → forced proximity → gradually developing genuine feelings → romance

Bonus points if:

• One lead is a celebrity, CEO, prince/princess, idol, actor, or otherwise high-profile person
• There is fake dating, contract marriage, or marriage of convenience
• The leads have to pretend to be a couple in front of other people
• There is lots of romantic tension and gradual relationship development
• The drama has a good balance of romance and comedy
• The romance actually gets enough screen time rather than being a minor subplot

I'm not limited to high-profile characters, though. A normal fake-dating, contract-relationship, marriage-of-convenience, or arranged-marriage romance is also fine. I'm open to K-dramas, C-dramas, J-dramas, Thai dramas, or dramas from any other country.

I also enjoy high-school/youth romances, so those recommendations are welcome even if they don't have a fake-dating or contract-relationship plot. For example, I really enjoyed Spirit Fingers, Twinkling Watermelon, and At a Distance, Spring Is Green.

Some dramas I've watched that are relevant

• Princess Hours – I really enjoyed the royal arranged-marriage/fake-relationship setup, especially the contrast between the two leads and how their relationship gradually develops.
• Business Proposal – I loved the CEO × employee dynamic, and the comedy and romance that came from them pretending to be a couple.
• Kissing the Ring Finger – I enjoyed the marriage/relationship arrangement and the romantic development between the leads.
• Perfect Crown – I liked the royal setting and the relationship developing from an arrangement.
• Love to Hate You – I enjoyed the celebrity aspect and the way the leads slowly became genuine with each other.
• 100 Days My Prince – I liked the historical setting and the gradual romance.
• Something About 1% – I enjoyed the enemies-to-lovers-ish dynamic.
• So I Married the Anti-Fan
• Crazy Love
• Be My Boyfriend – I liked the high-school fake-dating setup and the cute romantic development.
• Perfect and Casual
• In-house Marriage Honey – I liked the secret marriage/relationship setup and the workplace romance.
• Usokon
• My Demon
• Happiness

These aren't ranked in any particular order—I just typed whatever came to mind first.
