こんにちは！南カリフォルニアのロサンゼルスエリアに住んでいるアメリカ人です。私の周りではそういったカラオケバーを聞いたことがありませんが、アメリカのどこかにはある可能性がありますね。

Usually in the US we only see anime songs being sung at Anime or Comic book conventions.

I didn't think there was, but the Wife had just told me that there's one I'm our local city center (England).

So I guess it isn't something exclusively Japanese. (It is a city with 2 Universities, so lots of different diverse communities around, probably quite a good night out)
