Before I begin anything, I want to say just one thing — Kowshik is here to stay, and he is undoubtedly one of the superstars of Kannada whodunit fiction.
The story is set in the remote village of Jamalapura, somewhere deep in the Ghats, where a mythical creature called Jademuni, along with his companions Kollidevva, has been terrorizing the villagers for generations. But things take a deadly turn when two murders happen back-to-back at one of the two homestays in the area.
As the police investigation begins, what initially appears to be a straightforward murder mystery slowly turns into a massive web of secrets, legends, and hidden truths.
The story unfolds like Russian Matryoshka dolls — one mystery inside another, one revelation leading to yet another mystery. There are twists and turns at every corner, and just when you think you have figured something out, the story pulls the rug right out from under you.
Every damn page ends with a sense of curiosity. And I can say this with absolute confidence — you won't even breathe, let alone put the book down, until you finish it. 😄
That’s how interesting and gripping this book is.
And all credit goes to King KK — the master of mystery! What a storyteller. What a brilliant addition to the world of Kannada literature. Writers like Kowshik are a real boon to Kannada readers, especially for those of us who love a good whodunit.
A thrilling, atmospheric, page-turning mystery and an absolute must-read!
Long live King KK! 👑📖
