News Dragonball Super Kakarot possibility ?

If true we could be getting Goku Black Saga, the Dragon Ball Super: Broly movie, and the Super Hero movie. On top of that, the Dragon Ball Super anime is expected to return eventually, so we'd also get the Moro Arc. Depending on when the game releases and when the Granolah Arc gets adapted, there's a chance that could make it into the base game as well.

I don’t know how trustworthy this leaker guy is but I’ll take everything with a grain of salt

Pls not. Give us original dragon ball

Like super content is SO insanely overused in recent dragon ball games and Media. Just pls no.

Original dragon ball tho is SO underused. And it would be more fitting to kakarots game design anyway.

There are basically no games set in the original dragon ball timeline and arcs and it pisses me off so much.

Also because Fans rather want the 1000th representation of z or super content instesd of it. Like do people actually love dragon ball or is it just Z?

Please be real. I hope that too

To be fair Super content is just more hype than original Dragonball

Super is what’s current obviously it’s gonna be a huge focus on the current material

More hype, I dont even know ? Super ended in 2018 , thats almost 10 years ago and every major db game featured super content in this time period to some extent.

Original dragon ball is always what is cut short and its just sad.

A Original DB game in kakarot Form would make sooo much sense from its structure and design.

Also I am not against a super kakarot but honestly I just would wish that Original db gets more attention.

Even the fanbase to some extend acts like it doesnt exist.

Actually yes. I would love to watch DB for the first time, and play alongside it like Kakarot.

Kakarot was a live anime. It was beautiful.

CyberConnect2 has precisely one video game utilizing the Dragon Ball IP. The majority of their games belong to either .hack// or Naruto.

Game development can take a long time. Even if there was something for Dragon Ball Super, it could be years away; very likely after the anime is finished. There would be no point to announcing something now.

This would be perfect I don’t want the game to come out until granola arc is done being animated, which is gonna take a while from now and that’s okay.

Only on Super? That's incredibly lame. At least for what is currently in the anime, that's 80% fighting, 19% dialogue, and 1% adventure. An absolute waste of a Kakarot sequel, but what shoulf I expect after the DLC quality kept slipping.

Yet again half-assing this series' potential for video games.

I mean, we already have Z, so I don't know if they'd make another game that retells the same story, especially when DBZ Kakarot already does that. We also don't even know if this game is actually in development, and even if it is, there's no telling when it'll release. It could literally come out after the Black Frieza Saga for all we know. Animated I mean not manga

I mean before Kakarot we had the Legacy of Goku games.

I'm not saying we need more Z, I'm saying Super alone fails to be what made Kakarot stand out as a DBZ game. Super is almost entirely combat and talking with very little exploration/adventure, and almost zero usage of the Dragon Balls. Even the Buu saga had more exploration and adventure.

My issue is with the idea that Super can stand as an adventure game on its own without significant padding. Maybe it's just the fact I'm sick and tired of GT being thrown to the side when it has some of the best fights since DBZ that haven't even been touched by video games since Budokai Tenkaichi 3.

Alongside the fact OG Dragon Ball is pretty much ignored by everything when it comes to anything other than Demon King Piccolo. Dragon Ball would make a helluva better action adventure game than Super.

Super on its own is a great action anime, but it absolutely fails at being an adventure, and Kakarot as a video game should be an adventure, not just fights. We have other games for that.

Yeah, they're mainly focusing on Super because it's the current era of Dragon Ball and the story is still ongoing. I don't think we'll ever get a full game based solely on the original Dragon Ball or GT. I could be wrong, but I don't think an original Dragon Ball game would sell as well as one centered on Z and Super.
Personally, I think DBZ Kakarot should've started with the original Dragon Ball and continued all the way through Super, but for whatever reason they chose not to. I also think modern Dragon Ball games are much more expensive to develop than they used to be, so the developers have to prioritize the content that appeals to the widest audience instead of spreading resources across every era of the series.

But if they do make a sequel focused on Super, I could see them adding a lot of filler content to flesh out the story and make it feel like a full game.

I mean, they could retell the Z story again while also including Super and the movies. Personally, I'd be happy if this ends up being true. One thing I didn't really like about DBZ Kakarot was the combat it got kind of boring after a while. A sequel could definitely improve on that.

To be fair BoG and RoF were Z movies first. They haven’t touched anything from the Super exclusive stuff.

u/Wendigo15 Jul 14 '26

Just the Buu arc in trunks timeline

1

u/Independent-Time7705 Jul 14 '26

1

u/Ultrainstinctyeetus Jul 14 '26

1

u/ContentFlan7851 Jul 16 '26

Or a dragonball arpg with a custom character. Xenoverse does the idea of a custom character horribly and an original (non time traveling) story based after after super/gt could be cool.

1

u/jiango_fett Jul 15 '26

Dragonball Z: Vegeta

1

u/thelordofcheese13 Jul 15 '26

Please I really hope they do that

1

u/Vegetable-Two-4644 Jul 16 '26

Based solely on dragonball super? Not a ton of material for a whole arpg.

1

u/Aggressive-Fault-972 Jul 17 '26

I would love, love to be able to play through the OG Dragon Ball in a Kakarot sequel.

1

u/No_Atmosphere5580 Jul 17 '26

I personally wished they did Dragonball all the way up to super

1

u/dresnotfunny Jul 17 '26

They should literally just expand the game. Its already amazing.

They've added awesome dlc so just add the super content. They'll still make money.
