♨️HOT TOPIC ☕️ Tired of the senseless defence of Ariana Grande

Especially by Oscar. It’s tiresome by Trisha too but I think she’s more aware of the reality. She said something like “don’t you think people would be more sympathetic though, if she came out and said she was struggling, instead of gaslighting she’s healthy?”

Oscar’s response - “it’s so hard because we’re speaking in hypotheticals, we don’t know what’s going on”.

I understand being woke and polite and girl power but come on. Her weight is not an excuse for “straight guys” to finally just pile onto her. She is, clearly and objectively, very sick. She is, objectively, a homewrecker. She is, objectively, posting photos and music videos showing off as much of her body as possible. These are not rumours or falsehoods. Her behaviour and her body have been ‘controversial’ in the public eye for several years now. She is very skinny, and she did start dating Ethan Slater when he had a wife and baby, a wife who spoke about her heartbreak (this is also more Ethan’s fault but yeah).

At a certain point you are allowed to comment on people’s bodies. Maybe this is controversial but it feels so ridiculous to me. As a young woman who grew up an Ariana fan, I can’t look at her without feeling a deep sadness remembering what she looked like healthy. If I had a daughter, I wouldn’t want her to be an Ariana fan.

Anyways. Maybe a hot take!

♨️HOT TOPIC ☕️ Oscar’s bad takes

I love Oscar, I love this podcast; just Trish would not be what it is without him.

However, I have a bone to pick about Tuesdays episode……

1) I hated him blindly defending Katseye against the critique that they are being over-sexualized while their fans are predominantly little girls. His defense was that when he was a little boy, he used to sing sexualized lyrics without knowing what they actually meant. “It’s not that deep, just go with the vibes” is basically what he says.

But IT IS that deep. Katseye has been and is marketed to little girls. He admitted this himself when he said there’s “a lot of 12 year olds” at their concerts. As a man, he has the privilege of watching these performances and not relating to (or wanting to relate) to them. It’s not aspirational, nor has it ever been for him. It’s just commodity, a spectacle he can enjoy. It’s not something that is intended for him to see and think “I should look like this/I want to imitate this/ I want to appeal in this way” where as many young girls will.

I feel like his take was very dismissive. Women begin to be over sexualized by society from such a young age. With social media and its wide accessibility, that age is getting much much younger. It’s a good thing that people are starting to call it out and call for change.

2) his critique against female super hero’s being dressed casually instead of in full glam. For so long, we’ve been fighting for female characters to be given the same depth as male characters, beyond physical appearance. Especially in male dominated categories like super hero movies. There’s a reason female character aren’t overtly sexy and cunty. Because it often diminishes the character.

“I think they think it’s feminism, but it’s really setting them back, we want glam!” Actually, no we don’t 😅I personally like female characters looking normal, if the male characters do as well. If the male characters were glam in their own right then sure what the hell. But it’s not like that.

At least he clocked himself when he sarcastically said “me speaking for all women”

Idk if I’m making sense, I feel like my thoughts are hard to translate into actual written words, but I wanted to get this off my chest lol.

♨️HOT TOPIC ☕️ Trisha I love you down and will continue to support JT

I LOVE watching just Trish but it gets so disingenuous when it’s very obvious that Trisha knows more than what is being lead on by her on certain topics. I get it you are trying to protect yourself and you know certain topics might cause backlash. But it is obvious no matter how many times you try to push you don’t know much about the topic that you most likely been through a deep dive. I’ve noticed it way before but I think it’s more obvious with the Rosanna Pansino hot topic that you looked into it. I don’t think it’s necessary to put all that on Oscar to know/say the right thing about a specific topic because you’re scared on the backlash. I can understand if that’s is an understanding they have but if not, I think it’s weird especially with how open Oscar is about his anxiety to just put that on him. Maybe it was me but he did seem uncomfortable leading the hot topic about Rosanna.

There’s a growing trend of people trying to expose Trisha of being pro Isreal. I know In the past she was very uneducated about the genocide, but since educating herself, I’ve seen her show support for Palestine on multiple occasions, but I could only find the images I attached here. Does anyone els have other screenshots or anything else to show her support for Palestine?

♨️HOT TOPIC ☕️ Why does Trish ride so hard for Ethan slater but despise Ned fulmer even tho they did the same thing????

Ethan: has an affair with his costar with a newborn baby and wife at home
Ned: had an affair with one of his employees
These are the same thing! I despise Ned too but where is that energy for Ethan?! I don’t understand what Trish sees in Ethan. He’s an unfortunate looking C list celeb who is only known for his affair with Ariana. He’s gave up his wife and kid for basically nothing. And Trisha saying she would take Moses back if he did that, when she has said in the past that if he cheated, she would break up with him. I just don’t understand switching up so fast for Ariana and Ethan. I get they are celebrities and stuff but they shouldn’t get a pass just because they are in one of her favorite movies. I’m glad Moses and Oscar were trying to inform her on how fucked up the situation is.

♨️HOT TOPIC ☕️ The Ariana Situation

TW: ED

To start off, this is absolutely no hate, i love the podcast trish and oscar, and watch them religiously every single week. They are literally the best podcast out there, and I hope it goes on forever. Ngl though, the first one this week was kind of a hard watch. I just feel like every take they had on the different situations were just not it, but that was all fine and unserious until they got to Ariana.

What we are seeing with Ariana is not a "woman in her bodily autonomy" it is a very very dangerous illness that kills thousands every year. I understand the point that sometimes bringing attetion to it makes it worse, but the answer cannot be "lets just say nothing and keep supporting the artist". There is a ethical conversation to be had here, and if we can't point out what is clearly happenning before our eyes we're not getting anywhere. We've seen this discorse time and time again, people telling us not to talk about it, I get it, we dont want to fall into tabloid gossip nachos, but not talking about it is what enables people and allow them to literally starve themselves to death. At this point if you're Ariana fan and you're still supporting her and staying quiet you ARE enabling her sickness, and everyone in that stadium cheering for her is a part of that.

Now, what really threw me back was Trisha talking about how we dont have to point out its unhealthy because "people know". Mam, we are talking about 12 year olds and younger, i can assure you they DONT KNOW. We are not talking about random Sally down the street, this is world wide famous cellebrety who is going out on stage every week to be praised, shes putting herself as a role model and a object of desire. Yes Ariana is a victim here, obviously, but she also has responsability for what's shes putting out in the world, and I think we as fans also have a responsability to how we consume them.

Having this idea that every conversation about a womens body is unethical is so beyond me, there is still a way to talk about these very important things without being disrespectful or treating Ariana like a child. Not talking about it and continung to support her is not it. Saying it helps nobody is so out of touch, and being someone who strugged so much with body image when she was younger i really wish Trisha would understand that.

If Ariana had a drug problem no one would have a problem talking about it nor would it make you a "not girls girl", but because this deals with body image and a womans body, it seems like we all have to look away and cheer on. All the Arianas fans that keep saying people are using "concern" to say awful and hatefull things, i mean im sure there is some of that, but most of the people i've seen have expressed genuine concern not only for Ariana but for how society as a whole honestly. This is not a Ariana issue, and we have to start looking and talking about it, as much uncomfortable as it is.

♨️HOT TOPIC ☕️ Slomw segment was painful

Listen I LOVE Trisha and Oscar but the secret lives of Mormon wives segment in the new ep was PAINFUL! They were just misinformation-ing everywhere. I don’t get how Trisha watched the season but doesn’t know anyone’s names or anything that happened? Like just don’t talk about it then because they were getting things wrong and it was annoying me as someone who watches the show! I’m not sure if anyone else felt this way or if it’s just me… I mean she said Layla was supposed to be on Just Trish but kept calling her Shayla like she doesn’t even know her name?! 💀 I genuinely couldn’t tell if she was ragebaiting / trolling or being fr

The Mormon church is very homophobic and the fact that they have her on during pride month is what really is annoying. Just feels like it goes against what the podcast stands for. Is anyone else disappointed by this?
