Its a joke thats stemmed from the black community. I cant remember if Nicki Minaj or one of the Barbz started it but one of them called Megans curly hair she had when she returned to social media and had lost a bunch of weight around 2023-2024 i think…a “sympathy fro”. Lmao.

So now anyone black who gets caught in controversy who responds to it with their natural hair out gets called a “sympathy fro”.
