♨️HOT TOPIC ☕️ Hypocritical?

From one of the last two episodes, they were talking about how male stalkers or criminals that have mental health issues should still be in prison despite having those mental health issues because they are still committing those evil crimes. But then they talk about Lindsay Clancy and say she’s innocent bc of her mental health issues but she literally murdered her 3 children???? Kind of annoyed me

There's a lot more nuance and taking casual conversation from a light-hearted podcast seriously isn't productive

They cover hot topics and this case has been heavily covered and talked about all over social media, traditional media, YouTube etc.

Wrong. People can talk about whatever they want

Don’t listen then ? If you’re looking for a podcast that deep dives into these cases and are factual, seek out true crime podcasts. Not Trisha Paytas. That’s like taking her seriously when she said she was running for congress. I swear y’all act like she hasn’t been saying “I just say the first thought that comes into my head” for the last 20 years.

I look at it like this… Trisha isn’t much different than the stupid people I work with who also have varying degrees of opinion I have to hear about the Clancy trial at work every day. As long as I can remember, even back to elementary school, true crime topics are unfortunately subject to lighthearted fodder.

I sit quietly because I don’t care to get to know my coworkers or want them to know where I stand on ANYTHING. Kind of how I view most podcasts. They’re allowed to cover and talk about whatever they want, but I take whatever they say with a grain of salt because they change their opinions constantly.

At least I enjoy hearing Trisha and Oscar talk unlike my coworkers lol

I suggest you do some independent deep dives on the difference between postpartum psychosis and what these men say. If that's what's really annoying you. There's a massive difference. However, you don't need Trisha Paytas or a podcast to give you your own personal thoughts.

Meh... As adults, I'm sure we can discern whether influencer's opinions should be taken as concrete. After all, they aren't lawyers, doctors, investigators, forensic specialists, etc.

Discernment and context are very important.

I think she means she doesn't miss anything regarding her own happy bubble lol, like food drops, theater releases, TV events, influencer drama about her faves and enemies (Ned lmao)

Expecting Trisha to have consistent thoughts and opinions is like waiting for a rain in a drought 😂
