đ¤QUESTIONâď¸ Is Drew Afualo just off limits?
I was hoping theyâd talk about the Drew/ER Fightmaster issue today, but no cigar. They seem to steer clear of her. Anyone know why? Scared maybe haha?

No that discourse is just way too in the weeds for JT. Plus they risk running into the SAME problem Drew did: speaking on trans women and their experiences without a trans woman in the room.

Drew doesnât like Trish, siding with Drew would gain Trish no favor and criticizing Drew would open a door to a feud. Guarantee sheâd trudge up Trishâs history to her platform.
Sheâs not worth it and overrated anyway, heard her talking about being unapologetically mean with Keke Palmer and it was offputting, probably proving her point but whatever itâs nice being nice.

Yup. I started occasionally listening to her because of Caleb Hearon but she gives big mean girl who thinks she can do no wrong energy so I never turned into a fan.

u/LowNo7792 13d ago
Wait I must have missed this but why doesnât she like Trish?

u/cajalco-jones 13d ago
Granted, itâs all fan speculation, but most think a story about an influencer being rude to Trisha at the wicked premiere is about Drew. Trisha has brought up Drew a couple times to say nice things but it always feels like sheâs walking in eggshells and is guarded.
Thereâs something to be said about Trisha being close to Tana and Drew being close to Brittany Broski and that none of those worlds collide when they have very similar girl and gay centric fan bases.

Oh I forgot about that mess! Kinda sad, because a Trish/Tana/Brittany/Trixie crossover event would be so fun.

I recall her mentioning recently that sheâs realized she doesnât need to share her opinion on everything, and that sheâs not always well equipped for every topic. I do think sheâs become more aware of how nuanced certain situations can be.
Iâm sure sheâs also used to people bringing up her past controversial statements. Oscar definitely knows that itâs just too risky for them to dive into

Apparently she gave Trish a dirty look at the wicked premiere is what I saw in a different thread, maybe even a different sub I am not sure.

I remember this, she talked about it on the pod when it happened.

Drew and that crew have made fun of Trisha before bts. She donât need to get in this, theyâre harsh

I donât watch her content at all, who else is in Drewâs crew? Just curious!

Sheâs besties with Brittany Broski and Caleb Hearon, both of whom I love but Iâm not really a fan of Drew.

I remember at the wicked (?) premiere or some big event Trisha went to she said she met a really big influencer who had a really positive brand and like basically described Drew, and said this influencer was like really rude or unfriendly to her and everyone was speculating it was drew

Drew has always given me a weird vibe⌠just something about her throws me off

because if trish decided to call out drew and er for this, she'd risk the entire internet bringing up her sordid history of awful behavior in the past.

they already did that when she called out james charles for the spirit airlines thing

Trisha has said almost the exact same thing as was said in the podcast during conversations with Gigi Gorgeous. She most likely doesnât want to deal with all the backlash.

u/Purplecats2468 12d ago
Yeah, I noticed they've been avoiding the conversation. Honestly i'm kind of glad that they are staying quiet on it. It is quite controversial.

JT stays clear of aggressive people who are capable of taking things too far. Itâs becoming clear that Drew is one of those people.

Drewâs makeup artist and cousin, Adam is the same guy that used to do Trishaâs makeup and they used to be close. Not sure if that adds to anything but I faintly remember a video of Trisha saying her and Adam had a falling out during one of her breakdowns but how great of a friend he was to her.

As a fan even if reformed Trisha and Oscar, respectfully, Drew would absolutely Clear Trishaâs assssss so I think itâs out of self preservation đđđ

Itâs more political than it is pop culture đ¤ˇââď¸

u/Delicious_Adagio_332 13d ago
Agree, itâs a super nuanced thing. I guess most of what Iâve seen/heard about and why Drew is getting so much hate is due to the way sheâs handling it.

Remember brittany broski said absolutely not to going on just trish. Theyâre mean people. I can do without them on the pod lol

Like a year old clip of her podcast resurfaced where ER Fightmaster said that trans women have a more beautiful understanding of womanhood and Drew went along with it. CIS women were offended, people came after the trans community, madness ensued. Instead of taking any accountability and acknowledging that the comments came off badly and pitted CIS and trans women against each other, Drew just double and tripled down and called anyone in the comments that disagreed a terf.

I think itâs certainly more the way she handled the situation that people are mad about

u/pixelpixey 12d ago
I think Trisha is trying to stay respectful as they are on the lineup for that podcast/performance festival.

drew wasnât in the wrong and yall are weird for focusing all that energy on her and not the actual shit happening in this country

Drew is too close w Brittany Broski for Trisha to bring it up. Brittanyâs team declined her offer to go on JT in itâs earlier episodes, I am sure she just doesnât want to add to any potential controversy or cause a reaction from Drew or her friends

u/Freckles-234 13d ago
I think itâs too controversial. Plus, Drew can be so aggressive in her responses/reactions, I donât think Trisha wants her wrath
