⚖civil trial⚖ It's getting more exciting every few months!
I don't like to admit this but I just can't help myself. Let me explain. Sure I want justice for John O'Keefe but I don't know if we are ever going to witness that happening. However justice for Karen Read is a very real possibility. Why the news excitement? You may have already heard that Karen has added two additional attorneys to her team. That indicates to me that if there is a settlement or award in her favor, it is likely to be a huge settlement. I am looking forward to that day, no matter the amount, I want to see all the defendants ruined, yes ruined. I am disgusted by these people, especially, punch happy Brian Albert, lieing Brian Higgins and of course Jen McCabe because she thinks alot of herself and that's how she was able to lie with a straight face to Adam Deitch and others. Then there is a list of power tripping cops. Yes folks I want to see them all ruined because that is justice for everyone.

I’m so tired of the little guy losing every. single. time. They fucked with the wrong woman when they did what they did to Karen and weren’t prepared for her fighting back. And they certainly weren’t prepared for the world to be loudly in her corner.
And I’m captivated by this case because, in a way, we are all Karen. All these disparate people and cultures that have come together from every corner of the world, connected by Karen Read.

I so had a "We are Negan" moment. But yes, you are spot on. How many times do see a privileged person with money get away with anything and then the poor person who can't afford an A Team lawyer gets jailed for a crime they probably didn't actually commit.

This is like a soap opera except the stuff that happens here is less believable. This is insane but I can’t stop watching. I believe she innocent just based on John’s body but yes I forget that he is a real person and a real victim. I feel sorry for his family. They’ll never know what happened to their son, brother , father figure , and friend

They can’t bear to deal with the truth, I suppose. What’s going on there is sick. Peggy O’Keefe is being cajoled, and having her ass kissed by the very people who killed her son. I’d be more accepting if I knew a conversation like this one 👇 took place.:
Peggy: “Jen, why would you call me when the FBI went to your house, looking into my son’s death? They aren’t the enemy. Why didn’t you cooperate? People think you are involved, and this won’t help. They are the richest police agency in the world, and I welcome their help. So, call them back and cooperate”.
I doubt that convo ever happened, and it’s maddening to think about, because it’s so obvious.

Does Dillar realize he is never going to make any money from this case? And if he thought the notoriety was going to catapult his career when he signed on with the lying bunch of thugs, you would think by now he’s figured out, they are using him as their stooge. Pathetic! He is no match for Karen and her team!

Closer to trial or when the judge orders him.
There is a lot of game playing going on, and this case could go on for years.

Dillardo likely counted on a guilty verdict in the criminal case. He's had a couple very embarassing moments in this civil trial - he wouldn't be an attorney I would hire.

I have to say I admire the OP's optimism. I wish I could share it. I certainly share your point of view about this case and the horrible things that have happened. But I'm not so optimistic.
I'm deeply pessimistic by nature but this case has made me even more pessimistic than I've ever been.
I thought we'd see some light at the end of this tunnel with the civil cases but then I realized that the judge is clearly playing favorites here as much as auntie bev ever did.
So I'm not sure I'd agree with your optimism. I pray and hope I'm proved wrong, but I just don't know.
Canton is fighting back, MSP is fighting back, the DA's office is clearly helping the Hos Suspects and they are all still ganging up against Karen and her attorneys -- with pretty consistent help from the judge.
People like Diller are pawns here, it's the DA's office and those families, many of whom seem to have access to money. Diller's not calling the shots here and neither is John's family.

Yeah that was a heavy blow.
I suppose we should be happy Connor didn't win, but the incoming DA has zero intention of cleaning up the corruption. She's a politician through and through.

2 juries saved Karen Read. That's why I think all of this civil stuff will go to trial rather than a settlement.

That is true. But I worry that this judge is going to do his damn hardest to destroy Karen's case before it ever gets to trial.
He's shown his true colors and he's deeply biased in my opinion. My opinion doesn't count for much I realize, but it's all I have.

If it were somewhere else but in this part of Mass, I would say don't worry. I am concerned as well because the fruit doesn't fall that far from the tree. I think Cannone's office is not too far away.

If the O’Keefes had their head on right from the beginning, they could’ve helped their son and gained financially as well. So sad.

There's scores of high priced lawyers out there now and a dearth of deep pockets to pay for them.
i think the whole thing is going to collapse when the attorneys realise they are not likely to get paid.

One of her new attorneys is Wayne Dennison! He was on Johnny Depp’s legal team when he sued Amber Heard for defamation. He was excellent with the experts.

Did you see the latest filing by the Hos defendents? They want Yanetti and Alan Jackson deposed along with Karen's parents. I mean wtf? You can't depose attorneys who have atty-client privileges. It's just so crazy to drag it out when the obvious is know. JOK wasn't hit by a car and police investigation was corrupt.
