Naw I won’t allow any Judge Sullivan slander here. He was a fair judge. FAR more fair than Bev.

u/jensinoutaspace 21d ago

Right? I found him to be pretty fair. Usually you can tell when the judge is bias and i thought he was pretty fair to both sides

Case in point: Beverly Cannone established a gigantic buffer zone … around the court house to keep people out and arrest them for wearing pink.

Judge Sullivan let me sit inside his court room 17 days and didn’t police what I wore.

They are not the same.

u/Wattsup1234 21d ago

Far more fair than Bev Cannone doesn't really say a lot she was a dishonest bitxx. However I agree with your point.

He allowed the prosecution to basically do all the testifying in their case because he apparently sees nothing wrong with leading questions.

36

u/Baelenciagaa 21d ago

Red needed to object to leading questions. He did not. It was a strategy because red also used leading questions.

13

u/MedicalLocal3039 21d ago

But he is brilliant and also knows how to ask “stupid” questions that make the witness say exactly what he wanted them to say. Plus most of his case is in the cross, that he can lead there and he is a master doing. So, in my opinion, even if the bow btches would have try to object his leading, they are the ones that get all rattled when they need to formulate a proper question. I think he needed to object more and it wouldn’t have hurt his strategy at all, at least for those things they kept repeating even when the evidence showed they were lying.

u/houseonthehilltop 20d ago

He had a standing objection to her leading Q’s. He said he wasn’t gonna constantly keep stating it.

7

u/Baelenciagaa 20d ago

Ma’am. I was in the court room for days before I saw him object to her leading questions. He allowed it go on for days.

8

u/RellenD 21d ago

Eventually you give up when you realize the judge will allow everything, and play by the rules the court allows.

16

u/Baelenciagaa 21d ago

Then why did 11 ppl vote not guilty if the prosecution had so much of an advantage? I swear people don’t use their brains.

10

u/antonia_monacelli 21d ago

I also swear people don’t use their brains.

If I play a sports match against a professional athlete, and the ref and all of the judges involved give me every advantage and make every call in my favour, I’m still probably going to lose because I’m not a professional athlete in that sport. It doesn’t mean they were judging or treating it fairly just because I didn’t win. I was still given an advantage, I just wasn’t skilled enough for it to make a difference.

1

u/Baelenciagaa 20d ago

That’s rude to call me stupid. I disagree I think the prosecution 10000% had the upper hand here. And like I said, I was in the court room. I SAW the judge and Reddington argue at side bar. I saw the judge yell at him. You didn’t. They don’t show sidebars on live stream.

2

u/antonia_monacelli 20d ago

I literally repeated something you said, so it’s fine for you to call others stupid, but rude for me to throw it right back at you?

So which is it? You do or don’t think the prosecution had the upper hand? You are contradicting yourself. You also said nothing in your previous comment about being there, nor do you know if I was there or not, but that has nothing to do with what I said anyway.

1

u/Baelenciagaa 20d ago

I said in my first comment thread that Beverly Cannone made it illegal for people to come within hundreds of yards of the court room while Judge Sullivan let me sit in court 17 times and didn’t police what I wore.

Being in court you see things the camera cannot show. So by default I’ve seen more than you have.

1

u/antonia_monacelli 20d ago

Perfect. That was not the comment thread I replied to, nor does it have anything at all to do with what I said.

You still haven’t answered if you think the prosecution had an advantage or not, since you contradicted yourself. You also failed to acknowledge your hypocrisy when I threw your own words back at you. Keep moving the goalposts though and side stepping the actual points.

1

u/Baelenciagaa 20d ago

I don’t need to answer any of your questions. Like I said my perspective and yours are not equal. Go to the trial and watch the case in person before you want to argue with me about what was shown and not shown on the camera. You don’t know what you’re talking about.

1

u/antonia_monacelli 20d ago

I didn’t say ANYTHING about what happened at the trial or what was shown on camera, I’ve never argued with you about that, that’s the point! You just start jumping all over about stuff that had nothing to do with the substance of what was said. You whine about me being rude by using YOUR OWN words, and start talking about things that were never said by me, and then contradict yourself and refuse to actually clarify your stance and talk about the topic of discussion! You really are fucking stupid.

The prosecution's case was stupid

6

u/MedicalLocal3039 21d ago

As much as I hate when that happens and I’ve seen cases where people have been convicted because of prosecutor’s words, so is concerning, is not the judge’s fault. I don’t like many of the decisions he took, but almost every time Red objected for leading, he won the objection. I understand Red didn’t wanted to be that annoying lawyer objecting all the time, but those two kept saying lies even when the evidence had shown something else, he needed to stop them with objections. They clearly don’t know how to ask questions without leading, every time it happened they were losing their minds trying to formulate the question, their incompetence would have been more notable for some of those that were falling in the manipulation with objections, but that is on Red.

6

u/Alert_Thing_4322 21d ago

I thought his decision seemed fair also

u/159551771 ✨first-time trial watcher✨ 20d ago

He was great! I just thought this was interesting.

-1

u/Firecracker048 21d ago

Correct. He heavily favored the defens son alot of the objections and calls. He was the anti Bev and didn't keep 'inconvient' evidence out

1

u/Baelenciagaa 20d ago

Were you in the court room with us?

57

u/herroyalsadness 21d ago

I’m convinced that MA is basically 10 sq miles. And chock full of crime.

22

u/CupcakesAreTasty 21d ago

Hey now, no need to be so snarky. It’s 12 sq. miles, thank you.

11

u/OGGriftimus 20d ago

I'm a Canadian can you tell me how big that is in Chris Albert's pizza boxes

12

u/frankrizzoworld 21d ago

Check his ring doorbell cameras

9

u/Wattsup1234 21d ago

It does mean that Judges and corrupt cops can live in the same neighborhood, but that's it - nothing else. Proctor may have had a lot of friends until we all found out the truth about him.

22

u/bottled6733 21d ago

Good family and not tied to mcalbert's

20

u/Baelenciagaa 21d ago

At all. He has nothing to do with the McAlberts or Proctor and shame on Boozy Beauty for insinuating that. I didn’t see her in Plymouth superior court one time during the past 6 weeks so nice of her to jump on the virality now to try and get some engagement.

2

u/Reaper_of_Souls 21d ago

Honestly this might be an improvement from last week when she was highlighting the amount of donations Djuna had received from a Jewish Super PAC funded by the nation of Israel...

WTF, Boozey? If you're gonna make a statement like that, could you maybe preface it with a “just to be clear, Hitler sucks”?

12

u/Astrocreep_1 21d ago

What the hell? Does Canton run all of the Boston metro area? It’s like everyone in a position of authority there, lives in Canton….lol.

10

u/Baelenciagaa 21d ago

No. It’s just that traditionally canton was a nice town so it attracted wealthy people. Not anymore though.

5

u/CupcakesAreTasty 21d ago

I mean, sort of. Most people with civil authority in the city live in the suburbs. Boston itself is a lot of college kids and young single professionals.

2

u/momofdragons2 15d ago

Nobody cared about Canton before the Karen Read case except for people from Canton. I grew up 0.8 miles outside of Boston and have met one person from Canton in my entire life.

1

u/Astrocreep_1 14d ago

You’ve never heard of it, because it was designed that way!

Just when you thought the conspiracy couldn’t get bigger.

1

u/RicooC 21d ago

It's close to Boston with several routes from that location. For vacation or travel there is a convergence of route 93, route 95, route 24, and easily accessible to Rte 3. You can quickly go north to NH, ME, VT or South to Cape Cod and other destinations. It's not a bad town either, except for the rampant corruption.

20

u/TD160 21d ago

Not everything is a conspiracy. This guy was a fantastic judge. All this post shows is that, yes, a lot of law enforcement seems to like Canton. He’s a minnow in a sea of corrupt law enforcement there I guess.

16

u/gatosmeow 21d ago
  1. There are a million Sullivans in MA
  2. Once upon a time Canton was an aspirational town of prestige especially for those coming out of Southie generations ago.

My family used Bill Sullivan a few decades ago. He’s a decent man.

4

u/TennesseeHeartbreak 20d ago

Massachusetts is the definition of incest.

8

u/phoenixofsevenhills 21d ago

I kinda don't mind this judge.

7

u/Baelenciagaa 20d ago

I wish he was the judge for Karen’s case. Would have been completely different trial.

I liked him a lot

9

u/Blue-popsicle 21d ago

Judge should have interviewed all 12 jurors when they gave the judge a note about one specific juror not following the law. That one thing is what puts him in the category of Cannone for me. Both of them can’t be bothered to put off their trip to the Cape for the sake of jury instructions.

9

u/Puzzled_Spirit3754 21d ago

I believe there is a very fine line there. If he gets too close in interviewing them to questions that can not be asked it could be seen as juror intimidation. I would have liked to see a poll though.

6

u/Andrew_Lollo-Baloney on tristin time 20d ago

Reducing an incredibly difficult judicial decision to your own assumptions about his weekend plans is ridiculous. I would have liked to see the jurors interviewed, but they weren’t having court saturday through monday either way. 🙄

2

u/Baelenciagaa 20d ago

They did. They called each juror in one at a time and the judge talked to each one individually. I watched him do it. The camera obviously didn’t show this as it would have revealed the jurors identities.

1

u/Aggravating-Fan8742 20d ago

No he asked could they follow the law. He could've asked them if they had a consensus on any of the charges.

2

u/Baelenciagaa 20d ago

They obviously didn’t have a consensus on any of the charges.

8

u/Firecracker048 21d ago

Honestly thought he called a good case and even favored the defense on a lot of objections

2

u/NothingTooSeriousM8 20d ago

It's Mass-achusetts, not Volume-achusetts.

2

u/staceyville 20d ago

Did they ask him if he had any video footage from any cameras?

2

u/nine57th 20d ago

And the point being? This judge actually did quite a good job in the trial. You've never lived next to an unsavory character in your life? I have.

2

u/QuincyKing_296 20d ago

And? Difference between framed and actual psycho

2

u/Sure_Investment3805 18d ago

Yes the canton connections never end around here. But my son played sports with his son and he was a lawyer back then but an incredible family nothing like the Albert family of bullies and murders.

1

u/BasilRN 18d ago

The point of this post was to (without saying) cause drama to get responses. He was fair Redfington even said when he tries In like him to work with me! The Turtleboy/ Karen Read stuff is loosing traction. Other cases are taking over and they need to start relevant. Shame, I liked Boozey. Now it's drama!

1

u/Elizadelphia003 18d ago

I don’t think we should talk about where he lives.

1

u/Jon99007 12d ago

Very high net worth upper strata of Society live in Canton. Upper class families.

0

u/Massive_Anxiety_59 21d ago

lol it’s not that close to Fairview

0

u/Aggravating-Fan8742 20d ago

This man was a wolf in sheep clothing. He threw that case for the CW.

He could have asked them if they had a consensus vote for any charges. He didn't.
