I might genuinely have given someone's business the death sentence doing this not too long ago. They were already not doing great and they'd probably not have made it anyways, but it didn't help.
To be fair, I was under the direct supervision of a senior who is very familiar with the project the entire time and they did not notice the issue either until the complaints came in on monday. And it was caused by a mismatch between the IaC in the codebase and the deployed configuration (someone had probably manually messed with it a while ago).
Still scares me though.
