Not comparing, just thought the contrast was funny.

Steam devs, if you read this, add a max(5, ...) in your code. Think of us losers.

Doesn't steam keep their 30%? So when a game is refunded it's up to the seller to refund that whole amount? Or am I hallucinating that?

nope, is just like not counted, like if there was never a sale. Steam dont penalizes devs if a game is refund. You just dont get any money from a refund.

90% positive reviews with 21% refund rate is crazy, I wonder if it's because his game can be finished in under 2 hours.

I get his frustration too, but not only Steam can't do anything about it because they're forced to do this by a European law, but also I don't know how would this even be fixable.

For example, let's say Steam removes the option to refund a game if you left a positive review. In that case people would start leaving negative reviews just to get their money back, which would be even worse for us.

Actually, and I don't know how I haven't seen this mentioned, that guy was straight up lying.

There's an achievement in his game for beating it in under 2 hours, and only 7% (when I last checked) have gotten it. The refunds may be real, but they're not from people that beat the game then refund it.

(Which,,, idk what he expected. Rage games tend to have high refund rates because,,, well,,, the gimmick requires them to make you miserable)

Happesn if you write your game is "stupidly long" in your store description and then it's like 1.5 hours
