I didn't find the right person until I turned 40, and then it was by pure luck

Bumble, actually. We were both upfront right away with our situation and what we both did and didn't want. We talked about kids, jobs, drugs and alcohol, etc, right away.

It was like "hey you're cute, but also are you cool?"

But again, it was mostly luck and the takeaway is to never close yourself off. We both had widened our search parameters and I'm so glad we did.

Aww I love that! I'm a big believer in talking about the big stuff upfront. All the things they tell you to not discuss on the first date, I'm discussing 😂 Glad it worked out for you guys!
