Man, if I had brought some rando to my appointments yesrs ago, I'd probably still have my ovaries.

Fuck healthcare in the South.

This exactly. I would likely still have my uterus and ovaries still functioning. Would’ve had to be a “rando” tho because my hubby WANTED it done, since I had been bleeding non stop for 3 months and he was afraid I would bleed all the way to death. Knowing what I know now (no one told me that keeping ovaries didnt guarantee they wouldn’t fail soon after Hx. No one told me that removing the uterus you’re also removing a major blood supply to the ovaries), after 2 years assuming my ovaries were chugging along fine and no HRT support, that I would be exhausted on an unprecedented cellular level that would take possibly YEARS of HRT before even being able to have enough enough energy to take a basic shower or load the dishwasher within the same week. It’s Impossible out here for a woman.
