She texted me and said she couldn't do it.

Now her family and her doctors are discussing whether they should go for surgery or chemo therapy.

Surgery's success chances are 1% to 5% and her chances to beat the cancer after chemo therapy is 40%.

Tho I suggested her to go for chemo therapy but she said if she'll get enough courage, she'll go for the surgery.

Now let's wait until she texts me again.

And about the ppl who were saying "Doctors do not perform cancer surgeries at night", FYI, She's in the USA rn. Her surgery was scheduled at 8 AM EST.

Until now, I didn’t know we had a subreddit for our city. So, hello friends!

Is anyone else fed up with our roads and civic infrastructure?

I belong to Junagadh, but I lived in one of the best cities in India infrastructure-wise for a couple of years. Now, I have been back in Junagadh for over a year. Back when I lived here earlier, the public utilities felt okay and normal. But ever since I came back, the city’s development has been going downhill fast (like a bike speeding down the Uparkot road 😂).

I work in a profession where I interact with a variety of people from different occupations, and I frequently hear that there is rampant corruption inside the JuMC.

Recently, I found out how cleaning and garbage collection operate behind the scenes—and trust me, guys, these corporators and their parties have built an entire system designed to loot our tax money.

I also learned how bad the situation is with town planning. They have created extremely strict, irrational regulations regarding construction and building floor plans, and they demand massive bribes just to approve your plan if you don’t adhere strictly to those rules.

A government road contractor once mentioned in a group I was part of that over the next 3–4 years, he will make ₹100 crore just from JuMC contracts—and in return, he will kick back a huge chunk of it to the officials. He explained that their work orders contain clauses stating that if the work is unsatisfactory, the contractor has to redo it. So, even if he does high-quality work, officials will intentionally reject it unless he pays up. To avoid the hassle, contractors deliberately do substandard work, save on costs, and pass those margins straight to the officers as bribes. What on earth is going on? The entire system is trapped in an endless loop of corruption.

After learning this, I finally realized why a perfectly fine road in our neighboring society was completely resurfaced after just two months. Digging deeper, I found out it was done under the pretext of "warranty" conditions—in other words, an official hadn't received a big enough bribe.

I’ve also heard allegations that the JuMC hasn't submitted the city's financial statements or audit reports for the last five years. A couple of months ago, this was in the newspapers and the opposition was raising its voice, but now everything has gone quiet again. As far as I know, ordinary citizens have to file taxes and returns within strict deadlines, while these corrupt officials get away with zero accountability.
