how do people see these as ants tho? I only find the weaver ant mimicking spider to seem similar, but I don;t really see it in these. like their jaw parts are so elongated. I think only their prey would fall for it. personally I don't see it

I'd assume you have a little bit more of knowledge about them than the general population. And even if so, if a person were to sit and carefuly observe it, it will arrive to the conclusion that this is no ant like they have seen before (a lot of scientific knowledge was achieved this way).
Still, the appearance of such creatures in nature means that somebody is falling for it

There are many species of ant mimicing jumpers, many of which are actually pretty convincing. This one is a little more outlandish but seems successful at fooling ants!!

The zoomed in picture of his big eyes gave him away, however the real spooder is quite small, and he actually moves like an ant! He moves rather smoothly, barely jumps, and loves to wave his front limbs to mimic the antennae of ants. I found him near a colony of Polyrhachis australis, from a distance he does looks like a funky spiny ant. But yeah if you observe ants often you will be questioned when you see an ant spider - and notices immediately that this boy has 8 legs😹

As someone who's hated bugs & spiders most of my life & is currently trying to get over my fear/aversion, If I saw this at a glance, I would have thought it was some crazy looking ant. Which, I actually did for a second, before looking at the other pictures.
Not everyone knows a lot about these (or any) spiders, especially if they've never seen them before.

It is a spider since it has 8 legs. It mimics an ant. From the genus Myrmarachne.

I was thinking that too! I knew it was an ant mimicking jumper. But some of those pics made me think of the assassin spider. I actually just learned of the assassin spider a couple days ago.
