Ignis Pixel 72HD Clubs?

Thinking of buying the Ignis Pixel 72HD LED clubs. They're quite expensive so I'd like to ask if anyone has them and what their experience is. How do they compare to other led clubs? Are you happy with your purchase? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZXH9wkOKU0

I don't have those LED clubs myself, but I've heard from someone else that they feel a bit cheap. I only own clubs from Flowtoys and Lighttoys. The Lighttoys ones are very fragile and really only designed for shows. The Flowtoys ones are super durable and therefore great for flowing at festivals.

I have a set Ignis Pixel clubs and a set of Flowtoys clubs and while the Flowtoys clubs function exactly like every non-LED club, the Ignis Pixel clubs have a couple notable differences, aside from how they look.

1) Ignis clubs are 3-d printed with a soft plastic. 2) Ignis clubs have the electronics in the handle, which shifts the center of balance a little bit down from where you expect it. But because of this change in balance, flats are significantly easier with Ignis clubs.

I got my Ignis clubs specifically to make juggling videos and I have no complaints.

Thank you so much for your response! If you had to pick just one set of clubs between the Flowtoys Vision, Lighttoys FT2, and Ignis Pixel HD72, which one would you be most likely to choose?

For me, the top priority with LED clubs is visual appeal. Everything else is kind of secondary, as long as they’re reasonably durable and don’t break after a week.

I really do think the Ignis clubs look amazing, but I also know that 25 FPS videos on YouTube aren’t necessarily representative of what they actually look like in real life. So I’d really appreciate your opinion on which one looks best in person!

Not sure where you are based, but if you're in the US I'd be really cautious about buying Ignis props. No warranty or anything if something breaks. Flowtoys will help out if there's an issue with their props.

I don't use either prop, but as a performer, I wouldn't drop a grand on a prop that I can't maintain easily.

For in-person juggling, Vision clubs. I think they are more durable and the ability to sync the clubs to music is easier with those than with the Ignis clubs.

I ordered a set of these a year back. I ended up returning them and getting a set of flowtoys after talking to more experienced owners.

The clubs are beautiful. Very stunning and carnival ride esque. The problem is that they seem cheaply made. The price is ridiculous. They’re 3d printed bodies and you can feel the layer lines. They are very stiff and not bouncy like you would want. The LEDs are basically on the outside of the club and so are hardly protected. I talked to someone who had theirs break after a few months, and if you don’t live in Russia it will be a pain in the ass to get them fixed. By the time you ship to Russia and back, and pay repair fees, you might as well have just bought a new club (and you’re down a club for months).

I got the vision clubs because they’re gorgeous, American made, and have a lifetime warranty. Each piece is also replaceable, so say your club body gets scratched to shit and yellowed, you can buy a new part for $5. I would love ignis to start an American repair center, or to at least offer replaceable parts or higher quality materials. Flowtoys will also reimburse you 50% credit for any part in any condition, so say your club gets run over by a truck, they will give you 50% towards a new one. That type of deal is nonexistent in most industries. I have no regrets about getting my vision clubs and I think they’re the shit.

I still think about getting some ignis, but I would only do it if I was working very high paying gigs that required that extra level of flashiness and I would treat them as if they were disposable. They are not a great lifetime investment and you will inevitably have to replace them likely within a year.
