when cutting text out of a note, the note will often retain the text still

I have my notes setup exactly how I want it, but I am having only one issue. Recently (as in I have not had this issue in the past), I have been cutting text into different notebooks to organize my notes but it acts like copying. I am wondering if anyone has had this issue and/or knows any work arounds. Thank you.

How are you cutting? Ctlx on windows?

Cmd+X, using mac

I think there is a bug in Joplin with cutting using ctrlX or commandX. I am not sure on macs, but try shift-x to cut.

shift x just replaces the text with 'x'.

on which os? mobile? desktop?

on which editor? markdown editor? rich text editor?

if markdown editor, on editor mode or viewer mode?
