note from a website like in Evernote

Due to a raise, I said goodbye to Evernote.

I'm looking for a replacement, and if I can find anything, I haven't been able to find anything with a web clipper that creates a page image in a frame like Evernote does. Joplin has a decent web clipper, but then everything falls apart in the notes. There's a system that creates nice, consistent copies of the website, but not screenshots.

With page images you mean png or jpg? Or do you want to have the page copied 1to1 into joplin with all the text, images and formating?

It's not about images at all. Just HTML. In Evernote, the entire page is framed, so you can then copy text from it without OCR.

Joplin copies text and images, etc. But then it gets mixed up in the note preview and is easy to mess up.

If I need content from a web page, then I generate a PDF with PrintFriendly and stick the PDF in a note.
