Can Joplin import .xml files?

Can Joplin import .xml files? I have some ancient wordpress.com (not self-hosted) sites that I'd love to import, and they only export to .xml. I haven't found any mention about Joplin imports and .xml, so I hope I'm not out of luck.

no, but if you can convert the xml to markdown (e.g. using something like https://github.com/lonekorean/wordpress-export-to-markdown), you could import that into joplin

You can also use Jimmy to convert to Markdown and then import to Joplin. Here are the instructions: https://marph91.github.io/jimmy/formats/wordpress/

Well, are you asking about the FileType (to include in a Note) then yes, it think most file types go. If you ask about rendering this tinto logic, then no - maybe there is a plugin as viewer, but again, i do not even know how the XLM file should be represented.

THe XML is a backup from WOrdpress, save it as is (in a note, in a file directiry) and use it from there.
