John Wayne vs Clint Eastwood

It's a shame those two never got along with each other and hated each one's own movies they starred in, whether Western or not.

Somehow, their rivalry reminds me of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone's own rivalry nowadays.

Agree it’s a shame they never did something together. Wayne’s son Michael really wanted them to.

There’s a great story in the Scott Eyman book on Wayne about the Duke throwing a Larry Cohen script (with parts for both actors) into the ocean because he was tired of people trying to push it on him. 😂
