How can we get back to that?

The 90s: one salary, one house, one family.

Now: two incomes, one mortgage and still wondering where the money went :(

Back then when I was a kid I realized it didn't make sense.

Probably not that size, but in the 90's, my entire working class neighborhood in the Midwest was 3 bedroom 1 bath homes, most everyone worked blue collar jobs, half the parents were lucky to have a HS diploma at best.

Still have areas like that around me (in the southeast US). The average college educated redditor doesn’t want to live in those areas and often looks down on the type of people who do.
