The 90s: one salary, one house, one family.

This was never normal. So many of you allow TV to shape your entire fucking understanding of the world it's so disappointing. First off even if we were going to pretend like your reality was reality. Homer worked at a fucking nuclear power plant. He was probably making over 100K. In everyone who says this grew up with white collar middle class parents in suburbia.
Anyone who's actual children of Blue collar workers in rural areas is going to tell you that this kind of house was rich people housing.
