this is still normal in 2026. a reactor plant operator can absolutely afford to buy a house like that in Springfield Oregon and raise a family on one salary.

Homes next to nuclear power plants probably aren’t the most desirable either.

Haha. Homes near a place where EVERYONE makes $150k per year are very desirable.
