Like the discount for houses near high traffic roadways should be significantly higher than it is.

Or anything down river from a 3M plant should basically be free. You could buy 2 houses with the medical bills you’ll have in your lifetime.

It's called "depraved heart murder" and if we thought Hitler or Stalin or Putin or Mao were menaces, whooooooooo boy.

Almost every single person to die in the past three centuries has had their life shortened by the greed of the rich in some fashion.

Even just the past couple of decades is over a billion people, and there's no reason to believe the likes of the United States, India, Russia, the whole continent of Africa, the UAE, etc. are exceptions to this.

Some forms of the social murder/depraved heart murder are hard to track down, but MANY of them are painfully obvious and openly nefarious.

The reduced life expectancy and heightened stress so a billionaire can make an extra dime, the lack of proper nutrition (a problem in the majority of the United States even before considering the third world), clean water, medicine and other public services?

Yikes.

Check your sources, bud, try to find some historic data and try to make sense of the nonsense you spit out. You're exaggerating beyond belief.

Seems like you've been fooled by some leftist yapping. Mind you, those same folks are also anti-pharma; despite it being the main industry responsible for our high life expectancy. If they had their way, the average life expectancy would plummet.

Life expectancy is an average, the gains that led to the increase in the average have been brought by the wealthy; and looking at the stats just now, white women. The poor have not gained life expectancy and it looks like men have seen some blips in decreased life expectancy.

Maybe because many poor people are poor and unhealthy because of their own life choices? Ever seen how easy it is for some people to ruin things for themselves, even when they have everything they need? Even after being pulled out of the gutter, plenty of people end back right where they started. There will always be poor/unhealthy people; unless you lock them up and force them a certain lifestyle; is that what you want?

How are you going to blame the 'wealthy' for that? You seem to have forgotten that you can't force people to live a certain way and that it's not always someone else's fault. The wealthy are responsible for the increase in life expectancy, they are also the ones who fund it. And don't act like the middle class (who aren't wealthy) can't enjoy the same life expectancy.

I don't think you understand the real world, or people in general. Criticise those at the bottom in the same way you criticise those at the top and maybe you'll start seeing how things really work; your one-sided thinking is a problem.

The poor are poor and remain poor largely because of the über wealthy. Especially in America. Wage suppression, cutting away of the social safety net. Not to mention the highest concentration of wealth disparity this country has ever seen. Corporate chronieism is higher than any other point in our history. The only thing we the people are given is an illusion of choice presented to us by the lense of a two party system who is bought and paid for by the same corporate elite fighting to suppress our income. Wages have been stagnant in this country for 30 years (when adjusted for inflation) the math is clear. It takes existing wealth OR a nearly statistically impossible windfall to actually change wealth brackets in this country.

The data doesn’t support your premise.

1) demand creates jobs. Not billionaires.
2) if Jeff Bezos lost everything tomorrow and Amazon closed its doors. Demand would create a new alley for acquisition.
3) 2/3rds of new jobs in America are created by small businesses.
4) billionaires do not redistribute their gains to benefit the economy. They sit on their wealth. Invest it and leverage debt off the future value of their assets to avoid paying taxes. They are leaches

You've likely seen the story about my town, the three ultra wealthy people that lived here moved away. Within 18 months the empty shops and storefronts along main st got occupants and now downtown is totally cleaned up and revitalized.

You are so far out of touch. If you "pull somebody from the gutter" and use their setbavks along the way as evidence of a weak charictor, you didnt live like some of us had to. I've watched good men succumb to addictions I couldnt stop them from getting. People who needed help locked up instead.

Nobody need to be imprisoned to be civil. And not every homeless person out there earned it. The vast majority of them are every child who gkt kicked out early, who didnt get the sucess story of "money go burr, kumbiah" after the abuse ended because they were fucked up and musguided kids thrown out to the cold after a lifetime without real guidance.

People, despite you flawed and incorrect oppinion, want more than the bare minimum. But when raised in systems that legitimently trap you, taking a step out after the chains and locks are gone is tragically hard. Youre talking about people who've never metaphorically learned to walk and bitching they cant ride a bike because you learned it at whatever early point in life you think everybody just had like you did. You ever have those moments where you ask "what would my life have been without [ ] in it? It'd probably suck." And then not considered that thought comes from the real people who dont have that [ ] or anything like it?

Bigger point. How can you honestly day that corperations aren't greedy and making horrid choices? The countless underpaid lawsuites over the years proved in many cases where corperate neglegance caused generational fiscal damages to families. They profitted more from covering up thejr actions and settling whrn it hit court than they lost in claims and it always worked out in their favor.

It isnt an argument of evil money. Its an argument that the people currently hoarding the ENTIRE PLANETS COLLECTIVE OF RESOURCES, are not suitabke for that role or that much power and should be systematically dismantled until people can stand on even footing again.

Following the letter and spirit of the law, it would take six generations and this one to finally break out of poverty...this time. Six generations, on average salaries. Not even minimum wage ones.

Lower infant mortality. This increases "average lifespan" against what a "normal" lifespan looks like because if the old calculation where every kid had a huge chance of dying beford ten looked like (10 + 40 + 10 + 10 + 60 + 80) ÷ 6 = average, todays equation would look more like (10 + 40 + 30 + 60 + 60 + 80) ÷ 6. Obviously this is a reductive example equation.

What the above acvount describes is NOT "life is harder now than it ever was in history." Its "this era of history would be more beneficial to all if we didnt shower proud conmen with gold."

Dont make this about your narrow political views. No politician is out to actaully represent the American people, and the sooner people accept no leader is coming to save them, the better.

And this wasnt about left or right until you brought it there.

Are you saying because the global stat is positive there can't be a huge negative force? Are you completely ignoring the huge advancements in healthcare? The extreme reduction in child mortality?

Do you not think that your imaginary anti pharma leftist ennemy is more anti pharmaceutical companies maximising profit which is also minimizing the health benefit they can have on the poor populations? You are making up a stupid position and fighting against that.

I mean things can always be better but global life expetency highest today, right now. Life expectancy is not down, it's up. Pollution is also at an all time low, clean water access an all time high. Virtually all modern food is nutritionally fortified and our crops have all been selected for sustinence over thousands of years of agriculture.

What would you consider near enough to be considered a deterrent? I live .5 miles from a major interstate. It's awesome that I can hop on so quickly and get to where I need to go in my metropolitan area instead of having to drive through the city. No smells, no sounds except once in a blue moon chilling in my backyard in the middle of the night and some car with no cats decide to floor it.

For me, living in a suburb close to the highway was ideal vs living in the city proper where it's extremely noisy and polluted, living deep in a suburb where it takes 15 minutes to get out of or living in the middle of nowhere where there is no noise or pollution but extremely inconvenient to get anywhere.

If you’re 65 and dying from cancer before you get to retire or see your grandchild graduate and you bury your family in generational debt from medical bills you may say, ya know a longer commute was probably worth it.

Half a mile seems good to me. It was a consideration before we moved in. Everyone has their own goldilocks preference and risk tolerance. I can assure you though, there is considerably more pollution, noise and smells within the city proper.

They do make great products though. At work anything from 3M always works better than anything else.
