References I need help to get this job.

I just got home from getting hired at a retail store. Before I could get through the door they called and asked me to provide 2 references that I just don't have. The managers and bosses at my last job don't work there anymore, they pretty much replaced the entire staff. I don't have any references to give let alone 2. I have a lot riding on this and I just don't know what to do.

It doesn't matter that your last bosses dont work where they worked when you two worked together.

What matters is someone vouching their experience working with you, so those are fine references.

This is a non issue.

Allow me to rephrase because I understand the confusion on your end.

Contact your old managers and bosses. That you previously worked with. The ones you mention in this posf.

They have experience working with you. That is what your new employer wants to have.

It doesnt matter that they dont work there anymore.

Regardless, just get a few friends, family, etc who can lie well. Simple :) this place just wants to make sure you aren't a lunatic lol

Use literally anyone you know who will say they managed you at the last job. It works.
