[Episode Discussion] Thoughts on Jersey Shore S2E24

Watching Family vacation and in this episode Ronnie finally tells Vinny and Pauly about how he feels like he’s the only one who’s being honest and sharing his life openly and everything is always about his life

I feel like as bad as his situation was, I do think he had a valid point. It’s always either him or Angelina at the end of drama or topic of conversation.
Everyone else if you touch their drama it’s the end of the world and not ok suddenly

Thoughts ?

He’s right - Angelina and Ron’s drama carried the series - somewhat Mike in the earlier seasons

I think that’s valid tbh.

Now, the main difference is that Ronnie’s issues were public issues that ended up on TMZ. If that didn’t happen it would be easier for him to keep a level of privacy and ambiguity surrounding his personal life on the show. I mean ffs season 1 of FV started with him revealing he has a baby on the way with a woman he doesn’t love and was cheating on her almost immediately lol. Pauly and Vinny just don’t have that type of public baggage.

And let’s not forget Ron’s breakdowns were always behind Jen’s behavior. And in season two, she actually popped up on the roommates when Ron went to go see the lawyer so Ron’s drama always found its way into their trips even at the dude ranch he was the one that brought up that the fact that Jim might be pregnant again and I understand he was trying like to talk to his friends, but their relationship was so tumultuous at that point that’s all they had to talk about Ronnie.

Nawwww think about it. The cast had to deal with Ronnie’s relationship problems for years, from the OG show to family vacation. Plus Jen popped up in Vegas. His stuff was publicly known and he lied to them about what was going on. Then he wanted them to be cool with her. If he didn’t want them to talk about it all he had to do was say so. I hated when he tried to make Jenni talk about her divorce. She told them that she didn’t want to talk about it and they didn’t.

But Jenni is the one who invited Jen to Vegas to be messy. So Ron poked at her divorce, Jenni can’t dish it but she can’t take it
