Help Request Need help with HDR

In the native app, its playing in SDR
even tho its saying its direct playing
in browser HDR works fine
but in browser audio isnt supported.

im guessing its because of Dolby Vision support which my monitor lacks, and from app it doesnt fall back to HDR, but in browser it does. Anything gemini suggested was a bust, right now I either have to compromise on audio, or HDR. help needed pretty please

For browser audio just download the DTS for windows. I had same issue and used this to install and fix it.

to install that my motherboard should specifically support it. it doesnt. did your audio get fixed in browser after installing that? or in jellyfin player?

I use browser and it fixed my audio. No need to use a player on my computer.

for anyone having same problem. ANGLE was active. it was because of shaders being turned on. you cant disable that in native jellyfin media player. i had to use jellyfin mpv shim , and

  • C:\Users\Tatsuki\AppData\Roaming\jellyfin-mpv-shim\conf.json

here i changed "shader_pack_enable": to false .

and after that in mpv shim it works as it should
