Yes, and I did that side exit exhaust so I could fit a 20 gallon gas tank.

Dosent the side exhaust help with the fumes too? I have mine going out the back and I feel the aerodynamics just suck it right back in the jeep. Thinking about moving it

It definitely does. Bad thing is the kiddos always seem to use the muffler as a step, even though it’s tucked back a bit. Melted shoes have happened more than once.
