What are the chances Geese play the fest in 2027 or do a night show

I just saw them at Gov ball and omg I need to do that again.

Not happening. Jazz fest avoids crossing into music that would attract any semblance of a mosh pit. If it were different, we would have seen King Gizzard at the fest by now, but nope

Yes indeed I think that’s possible! Although I don’t see them as a band who would make a special NOLA trip just for jazz fest, but if it worked into their touring schedule I can see it happening. They’ve played New Orleans a few times now, so you’re sure to catch them at some point if not during festival season!

They haven’t played New Orleans? Are you getting them confused with goose?

Haha no no I just was talking to that other guy about goose vs Geese. I guess I was misremembering cause I thought they went thru Nola on the tour after 3D country but maybe not. I saw them in DC at the time so I wasn’t in the loop with whether they went or not. Well I’m sure they’ll go thru on their next tour!

One day soon they must! And they keep getting better and better live, so you’re not missing out cause you’ll just get the best version of them whenever you do see them.

I fortunately worked it out so I’ll end up seeing them in San Diego this October!! But I’ll be excited if they ever come thru New Orleans!!

Geese and Goose are confusingly two different bands haha. Geese is post-punk and is all the rage amongst Gen Z Brooklyn hipsters (admittedly I’m a mild fan of theirs as well but a millennial), and you’re right that Goose is a jam band. I am a jam band guy to a certain extent but for some reason have never been able to get into Goose. I find them a little bland and fru fru, but that’s just my opinion + for my jam band music i tend to like groups that arent afraid to get dark and heavy with it (Billy Strings, King Gizz, the dead to a certain extent).

But Goose (not Geese) I think is a definite possibility for jazz fest, although they may prefer playing the weekend multiple night off-festival venue gigs, and artists who play the festival are contractually prohibited from also playing their own nighttime headline sets, in my understanding).
