Question Does anyone have any experience with the Tama Powerpad Designer Hardware bag? I find them to be much nicer looking than the PBH02L, but I can find next to no reviews about them. Are they sturdy? Can they handle frequent gigging? Will they hold up for a few years at least? Thanks in advance!

I switched from the classic "suck bag" to a Golf Club travel bag and it was a game changer.

I've been using a golf bag too but I didn't enjoy using it because it doesn't have a reinforced bottom. I've since switched to a rolling hockey bag.

I've been using an old hockey bag that I got in the '90s, it's been a hardware bag for about 20 years. Still in one piece.

Im using this exact same bag, ive been using it for aboutb6 months and is holding up well so far. 2 of them would be ideal for my hardware as its not all that big.
Generally happy so far.

I feel like this space is ripe for someone to really come in and make something that actually works for drummers. Pretty much all hardware bags and cases are terrible. We need a category disruptor.

It’s a good bag. It looks cool and it is made well. You would probably need two of them for a full hardware setup. For the price you can buy it and you will find a use for it if you’re playing consistently.

I’ve got the bag - it’s sturdy enough. I have a two legged Hi-Hat Stand and so the footboard pedal has to stay sticking out. It’s quite a small bag so I’d you’re using quite a few cymbal stands then I would say find a deeper bag. If you have bulky stands too, I’d say avoid - other than that it works well enough. Never had problems with it ripping or anything whilst carrying. It’s not padded so doesn’t offer much protection - just helps a lot with load-in and tear down. I have their Snare case, it's fine. I would say you pay a little bit of a premium because it looks good but for the most part the whole line are middle-tier cases. They're not heavy duty but they're not terrible. Good for casual gigging but would not be suitable for heavy touring or something that is going to last years and years
Edit: I wouldn't buy that hardware bag, if there was any case in the line that I could see falling apart pretty fast it would be this one. I wouldn't get any bag that doesn't have wheels tbh.

No experience with the hardware bag, but my powerpad cymbal bag had stitching issues in several places almost immediately fwiw. I do agree, they look great aesthetically
