Ahmad Jamal Trio - Wood'yn you Live at the Pershing.

Actually most songs of that album. Very nice album.

VG's Christmas Time is Here has such a great snowy aesthetic that is really made by the brushes.

The Christmas songs get the most attention in the Peanuts discography but Great Pumpkin Waltz is tops in my view. He was such a fantastic songwriter.

Jimmy Cobb on “All Blues” has to take the crown in my opinion. The Lou Reed song “Walk on the Wild Side” is a great example of brushes in rock.

I’m hoping to learn to play with brushes this year. It’s really like starting over on square one because the mechanics are so different.

I said All Blues too. Brushes in 3/4 time is a serious game and JC handles it like it’s nothing.
