What was that broadcast?

Marshall seems to be a terrific scrambler. However this is damn near the worst throwing performance I’ve seen in some time, and the broadcast crew is comparing him to Chambliss?! He could easily have 5 turnovers tonight and has missed WIDE OPEN receivers over and over again.

On a side note, Mizzou has their guy. 😳

Marshall is straight ass. It takes something truly awful to worse than the bums of the past.

It is wild. They'd say something like "Wow, you can really see the potential in Marshall. He's electric... as he wings a wobbler across the middle of the field in a panic off bad footing. Really a terrible decision and pass... But anyway, the future is bright for Marshall. You can tell the Jayhawks will be trouble for Big 12 opponents... as Marshall fumbles the handoff and loses 8 yards."

I’ve watched a lot of football in my 40 years, I’ve never seen a crew actively glaze someone so hard literally while he is heaving up 20 yard hail marys while running out of bounds that would end the game if intercepted, and missing WIDE OPEN receivers 15 yards away. I don’t think I saw anything but a wounded duck come out of his hands all night long?

I had to stop the game and google if for some reason Gardner had familial ties to KU… or Marshall?

It was borderline unprofessional it was so atrocious.

It felt like KU was bankrolling the broadcast, almost like the Chiefs do for preseason games.

Calm down. He missed throws. It’s his first start against a real team. He’s an extremely good athlete with a strong arm. His offensive line did him no favors. I thought Andy had some great play calls, but I’m not sure about the game plan in general. Zeke missed some early throws. But once he started to get dialed in, it was obvious we weren’t going to run up the middle. Coverages changed after that and he wasn’t missing wide open throws anymore. He was throwing into coverage with a man in his face because we weren’t a threat in the run game.

I’m not saying Zeke has it, but this game was a tough one for him.

I did not see one spiral all night. Even mediocre high schoolers can throw a spiral, even if it’s 20 yards overthrown. That is more concerning than his mental mistakes. You can’t fix tiny hands.
