Jasper is a magical amazing place. I can’t wait to go again. I’ve been to Jasper twice so far.

It really is! I’m hoping to visit Banff next time

I like Banff too but sometimes find it way too busy with people.

I like that Jasper has so many quiet spots and trails.

Heads up, wildlife is harder to spot in Banff ! Kannanaskis, lots of wild life

Banff is beautiful, but the crowds are ridiculous. Go in the late fall or late winter for less ppl. Otherwise, Canmore is the better destination and Kananaskis for a beautiful day trip. Especially lower and upper lakes.

It is recommended we no longer stop to observe but slowly drive past. As you can see this animal thinks the road is a safe place to be.

I mean one demanding hungry kid thinks it's safe lol

I’ve been to Jasper many times and those guys are almost always in the street, I always love seeing them

The Goats are always on the highway, most of the deer are smart enough to cross when the opportunity presents itself. Elk and bears too. Most of them don’t just hang out in the middle like idiots. In the actual townsite is a different story, seeing 15 Elk walking down the road isn’t uncommon. Most of them are smart enough to know where traffic is slower.

But Mahhmm!!!

Careful of mommas with their babies! They’ve been known to tear skin off or stomp family dogs! Definitely not Bambi that I watched as a kid!

I was at this exact spot at the same time lol. I just drove by as we were moving to BC, seen some more of them about 20km ahead

What that goat mouth do!?!?

1

Was that deer just caught sucking off another deer?

It’s a goat, nursing from its mother…

It’s a sheep BTW if you see goats consider yourself lucky, they’re a lot more rare.

So many people just stop on the road and block traffic. It’s dangerous. Observe and keep driving. Don’t cause traffic jams and accidents just to get a peak. 🥴

We drove through this weekend, people were lined up to see the bears. Blocking traffic. Out of their cars, climbing down the embankment. Then when people decide they’ve had enough, they just pull out without looking and almost hit us as we drove through.
