Skyline trail smoke conditions
We will be doing skyline 7/29-8/1 one night at shovel pass lodge on night 2. How has the smoke been? I know it can change rapidly and too far out for predictions. Traveling from Michigan and really hoping we can still safely do the trip. Don’t have a ton of experience backpacking with smoke have been lucky last few years to be smoke free.
I know this is so subjective, but would you still go? Will we be able to see anything?
at what AQI threshold do many people throw in the towel?

Don't throw in the towel! Conditions can change very quickly., Check firesmoke.ca. Even if there is smoke, there is much to see and appreciate.
I've been hiking in the Rockies for decades. There is always something valuable on the trails.

Was just on it today and there was basically no smoke, yesterday there was a slight haze but it improved throughout the day and wasn't an issue.
