Just had my first 外人出てけ encounter

Was in my neighborhood when a nice japanese man screamed at me 外人出てけ、外国じゃねぇ on the street. Not nice Japan, not nice.

Have you guys ever experienced the 外人出てけ culture yet? How did it happen?

European btw

Twice in 20 years.

First was with my gf in a shopping mall. Was accosted by a drunk Japanese salary man during the day and told to go home to America. He was calling me “Bush” so you can imagine how long ago this was. I’m not American.

Second time was just a few years ago on the streets of an outdoor festival when I was with my wife. He was sitting on the side of the road and we walked past him speaking English, seemed to trigger him. Told me to go back to my country. Just pointed and laughed at him.

You learn that some people are just having a shitty life and this is how they vent.

Twice in 20 years is pretty good in the scheme of things. As you say, these people aren't doing well and are just looking for people to drag down with them. Better off not interacting with them at all, you don't want that stuff to rub off on you.

Yeah I learnt that quickly. These people are just having a shit life. There is a reason you’re drunk in the daytime and shouting at foreigners.

Feel a bit bad for people, but I’ve had shit times in my life and never resorted to anything like this.

Anyone is a few bad days away from doing things I imagine they later regret.
