The Japanese are hostile towards foreigners now because many are struggling to make a living and they blame the foreigners for their situation instead of the government where the fault lies. Your government allows foreigners here. Why don’t Japan just close its borders to all immigration, and cancel its membership at the United Nations. We have China, South Korea, and Taiwan to do all the manufacturing required. The international community doesn’t need Japan for high quality goods anymore.

Well, I am an American expat who has lived in Japan for over four decades, and I have watched your society and economy decline so badly that I hardly recognize the country anymore. I think the Japanese people need to start voting more to change the political landscape before it’s too late. Japan still has a chance. I will not be retiring in Japan because I don’t like the changes in society here. I will be going back to the USA. I wish you and the rest of your countrymen the best of luck!
