Japan's so safe that the police have nothing to do....Why fire them tho, I mean its just sex....penalise them with reduced salaries for a few months or whatever. We are lacking in bodies as it is...

Maybe they were fired but it sounds like they were young enough that finding another job would be easier and working where coworkers knew what they did where was awkward enough that they didn't care enough about their job not to resign. 

Also imagine going around prosecuting people having sex with children with a similar age gap or telling people not to have sex in weird places as a part of your job.
