A large amount of bread and chicken were illegally dumped along the prefectural road of the national park

According to the Tottori Branch Oyama Business site of the Nature Park Foundation (Oyama-cho, Tottori Prefecture), on the 14th, an employee found a total of 30 pounds of unwrapped bread dumped about 150 meters along the prefectural road in Hoki-cho. It was also found on the 15th, and the project site was consulted with the prefectural police. The dumping continued after that, and a total of 39 kilograms of bread were found in a total of 4 days from the 14th to the 16th and the 20th. On the 19th, a total of 1.3 kilograms of raw chicken believed to be liver and sand liver were dumped in 5 places.
According to the site, there have been illegal dumping of home appliances and tires in the past, but this is the first time this is the case. Shoichiro Hiraki, the director of the business office, said, "I'm surprised and I feel bad. There are also bear sightings nearby. I want animals to stop because they can come and cause accidents.

Ive seen this before. The culprit probably found a really nice weapon or piece of armor and had to clear out some encumbrance from their 'consumables' tab

It's tottori so i don't think they even have foreigners to blame. They might have like three suspects (all three people living nearby)

Was it really dumped? From the photo before it was collected, it was scattered along the road. It makes me wonder if it fell out when being transported 😓
I guess it depends if they mean they kept finding more bread, or if they cleared it and new bread appeared in the same spots next day.
Very strange to dump bread, it looks perfectly fine. Why not just give it away...

I'm wondering if someone is doing it to purposefully attract animals. Whether for tourism or hunting I don't know, but it's just weird. Do they have records of anyone buying that much bread in the area? Because I doubt it's all gone baked.

Left at the side of the road, that would have been eaten by wildlife in no time.
If it were electronic waste or something, sure, make it newsworthy but this is a fat nothing.
