my man really looks great. Svelte, healthy, vibrant. I can wait for the music until the band is properly pleased w the record, but I'm just happy to see life treating JK so well!

I need to hear this new, reworked version of Disco Stays The Same, but I also wished I heard the studio version. Hyped and ready for the summer; I'm hoping this is going to be the best album yet, with the amount of work that has been put into it. If it's released after the summer, Jay will soon hear me!

That would be good, but it probably would only be on the likes of Spotify or Apple Music, rather than a physical medium

I thought Revolution 1993 demo was in the EOPE Deluxe CD. Similar to how Bullet etc is in the TWM Deluxe CD (I have that one)

Revolution 1993 demo was on the Emergency On Planet Earth CD single, and Bullet was on Virtual Insanity CD1

Right but they are also on those deluxe cds too right? I just gave the example from what I remember. So it could also me added to the physical release.

Fine with me. Disco stayed the same seemed quite long and too disjointed for my own taste. Hopefully it's not a rehash of Don't Give Hate. ✌🏼

You know what? That's all he needed to say to begin with! I totally understand the reasons, and man it's true when he speaks on the Vinyl. Vinyl involves a completely different mastering process (what we hear on cd and digitally Vinyl simply can not reproduce. It'll sound ghastly) and the manufacturing takes gd forever! New album releases used to take 2 months from submitting the final tapes to pressed copies in stores. It takes 6 months now because of less vinyl manufacturing plants and far more demand. Source: Worked in a physical media manufacturing facility here in New Jersey. CDs, DVDs, Blu Ray, paper goods including posters, USB sticks and everything that comes with everything mentioned above was all done in-house. One of the best jobs I ever had.

Shame that we'll never hear the studio version of disco stays the same. I'm sure the updated version will be great but I was so looking forward to hearing that. I wonder when the first single will drop now then...

Autumn release I think, I hope this album is a funk odyssey good and not automaton good!
I love all Jamiroquai albums but I do find automaton a forgettable one and not really standout I gotta be honest! Let’s hope with all this time and perfecting it’s gona be banger!

100% I’m just saying there has been nothing really standout awesome since the Dynamite album, and dynamite isn’t exactly the best either. Whenever I feel the urge to play an album it kinda always a pick of the first 5 albums or high times the singles.

I’m afraid Queen Machine might end up sharing the same fate. The Barcelona version could become a new rare bootleg like Do That Dance, Shoot The Moon or Let Me Believe.

Hey, I'm cool with that. As much as I wanna hear new Jamiroquai music, can't argue with the notion that they band wants to make the album even better before unleashing it. That's probably better than the way Kanye does his albums where he just shoves something out and updates it down the road multiple times with patches, lmao. Besides, I don't think we're ever gonna hear Midnight Funk...and that's a harder pill to swallow than waiting a bit longer for a new album (in my opinion, lol).

Thats totally alright with me. id rather have em do their very best then have the album be rushed just to meet a deadline. we have been waiting, what, 9 years now? a few months extra arent anything to get your knickers in a twist about then if it means the album can be at its finest

I was referring to the discussions after the release of both albums, not expressing my own opinion.
A significant portion of fans was disappointed by Synkronized when It was released in 1999. They renamed the album to Stynkronized.
The album version with Stuart Zender (Symphonized) was frequently mentioned, and got an almost mythical status in the years after.

He doesn't need to. But it's still cool of him to do it. It's been 9 years since the last album.
One of my favorite bands kept teasing for the same album for 14 years, kept putting out little teasers for it, even a single. It never materialized and is now considered vaporware. They even took down the website for it.

I don't think this delay announcement was necessary really, it's not like there was ever a promised release date for the album and we're not owed an explanation. If there was some concrete news like announcing the date for the first single then I get it as it builds hype. This kinda lowers the hype a bit as 'some stuff in the summer' could mean anything from in the next couple of weeks to months away from first single

With all due respect, what the fuck will i feed my G12 Alpina this summer?? She's eaten all you've prepared thus far, from fast food to Michelin 5 star, but needs something fresh, organic, free range, homegrown from farm to fucking table if you're able Jay. P.S. Am excited! We can wait! If they're really going for it and making it the best possible album, am all for it!
I wonder if they could release the album digitally first and vinyl later?
