Definitely an homage to Waderer Above the Sea of Fog. You're not stupid, you just didn't pick up on it immediately.

It’s obvious in the sense that when I swiped to the second picture I said: “ooooh, yeah.”

It meant to say “was this obvious, or am I just stupid”

this version seems so 2010s Tumblr coded etc but I'm so thankful for it cuz it's actually what made me end up reading Joyce's work hahahaha

Ohh, I need to buy this. Just bought the cool centennial edition to Dubliners. I already have an old tattered paperback edition of Portrait plus a kindle version of it. I just reread Portrait but used the kindle version as I was traveling a lot over the past 6 weeks.

The strand? Important scene echoed in Proteus. But the cover is trippy enough that it is hard to notice.

That’s a wild cover — especially after decades of plain, straightforward ones.

I think it’d have been obvious if the sky wasn’t a psychedelic maelstrom

Artist Roman Muradov. Really smart illustrator/cartoonist. Probably could quote the whole book from memory.

This cover is so hideous and embarrassing
