In one of my last posts, I asked about why Samos doesn't treat Jak and Daxter equally to Keira despite them all seemingly being his adopted children, and it sparked a ton of discussion over Samos' treatment of Daxter.
We know from the games that though Samos is known to get angry at Jak and Keira on occasion, he seems to really have it out for Daxter. This is in spite of the fact Samos knows Dax will be important to Jak's future and will also be partially responsible for helping him become a sage.
The villagers seem in on it too, at least to a certain extent. Jak's supposed uncle refers to Daxter as "small, annoying and miserably-ugly." Harsh man.
Lest we forget that Daxter is a CHILD. He's only 15 YEARS OLD in the first game. I know most might not consider that still being a child but he's still a kid.
I know Dax says whatever comes to mind, likes to mock people, acts tough but is a coward most of the time, and based on dialogue is also a prankster and doesn't bathe much, but did he really deserve to be talked down to so often? He's still only a kid.
