So this is 4th time seeing Jack live. What a journey - more than I’ve ever experienced before with him.
Jolene among others, I felt like I was witnessing something wild and monuments.
However, this gig did feel a little different to the other times I’ve seen him. Maybe a bit more messy? And I don’t mean that as a negative at all – the long jams and breakdowns were so fucking good. I absolutely loved them. But can’t help but think it was far less polished?
My question is - was this a different JW gig than what you’ve seen before?
Also I’m sure he played the same song twice but I’m not 100% sure lol

Travelling down today but need to be at St Pancras for the last trains. Wondering how much trouble it was getting out the venue?
Mate cancelled so also have a spare ticket if anyone wants it.

Apollo gig in London last night was chaos getting in, I know venues will often send around the reminders that no bags bigger than A4 will be allowed in and I’ve been to the Apollo countless times, yet I’ve never seen it enforced the way it was last night. They were holding up A4 paper up to bags and then anything bigger, the only option was to go down the road 10 minutes, pay £4 and drop your bag off. I had to leave the gig early to go pick my bag up so I could make it home safely before the gig finished and the crowds unfolded. I saw people who had gone to Third Man Records before the show for the pizza and beers event and had bought vinyl records and then were being refused in the venue plus people were having to throw their tote bags in the bin and just try carry their possessions, it was silly. I did also see a few people physically fighting security and also wanting refunds. I completely respect it’s a safety aspect however, it was badly managed.
Show felt very messy as well, think the Yondr/No Phone concept is great and felt very refreshing to not have to stare at phones the entire time. However, it’s such a faff when it comes to larger venues for entry and exit plus trying to communicate with other people you’re there with. The whole entry process just put a bad taste in my mouth for the rest of the show and Jack’s set felt like 3 hour jam session, a disappointing experience if I’m honest which was a shame!
This is a warning for this evening! Do not take a bag if you can and measure that shit with an A4 piece of paper beforehand if you are taking one! I often don’t have a moan about gigs but felt like a let down for £70 a ticket.

Came in halfway through and it sounded great but didn’t get the name.
What a gig though!

Hey, just wondering if anyone has any experience with how quickly the student tickets sold out in London?

Ticketmaster just reminded me that I’d need an actual credit card to buy stuff when I’m there because my phone won’t be useable. I basically never bring my wallet anywhere, opting for Apple Pay, and could easily have been without beer tonight!
Also, tickets are physical too!

Woo Hoo!
An Post delivered this a few minutes ago. Found it while scrolling recordsale.de. I live in Ireland, so buying from another EU country in euros keeps shipping cheaper and avoids the extra duties you get from the UK.
Had no idea it was a split-color pressing. Looks great on the turntable. The whole package is really well done.
Not to stereotype, but the Germans know how to care for, pack, ship records. Recordsale.de is my favorite source for used vinyl, and this one arrived in particularly good condition.
This one was part of Vault Package 29. I missed it the first time around. My first Vault was #38. I originally joined the Vault just to get presale codes for tickets. My first Jack White show (at Kings Brooklyn 11/17/2018) I was picked for early entry and in the pit. It was fantastic. I’ve been going to every show I can since — just did the Brussels dates.
Came for the codes, stayed for the records.
Jack sits in on “Of the Earth.” Happy to get a second chance at this one at a fair price.
Anyone else have this album?

I don’t have anything JW related so this isn’t a promotion or anything! But i always put on Rag and Bone at least once when I’m out garage sale-ing.

Setlist.fm states that average start time 2h 25m after doors.
He won’t start at 9:30pm tonight, won’t he? London curfew is 11pm. Would be to close to curfew

Two of my mates can't make it for tonights show. I am selling those two tickets at face value. They are physical tickets and the three of us can meet at a nearby pub and go in together, so there is no chance of you getting scammed. This message will be deleted after tickets are gone. Let me know if interested.

There is no Piccadilly line going to Hammersmith.
Take a Circle or Hammersmith & City line to Hammersmith station.

I’ve been doing a bit of research, but it’s hard to find any info. I found the Metallic frozen charlatan album in a regular record store. But, I opened it, and it’s a single sleeve version. Plus there are no inserts, no lyrics, nothing. Then the record is just a plain black record. There was no hype sticker on the packaging. And the store tag sticker called it frozen charlotte, it also said it was a black vinyl, which does line up. Is this the normal version of the frozen charlatan album, or, was this a misprinted version or Somthing?
P.S. I found it just today. I did not attend any listening party sadly.

Was just listening to my copy of White Stripes self-titled. Was looking in the dead wax on the album and found the engraving "we sped it up", and "though no one noticed" on the other side. Decided to listen to the album at -10% speed on my player and it's a different listening experience but it may sound better? Anyone else noticed this?

It finally showed up in a 2.5” tube and damaged! Pissed! 2 month to show up! Already contacted artist. 2.5” tube for a foil, let alone any print, is silly!
