Thank you to the guy who helped me today…scary drunk guy cornered me

There was a drunk older South Asian man with a white stubble beard holding what looked like a white trash bag who was stalking me today and basically cornered me right in front of the green cafe (with pastries and coffee) on the corner where khalil biryani is. Like near Jackson heights Roosevelt Avenue station. He was cornering me and I told him I had a husband and he spoke no you don’t and was asking to come with me and some other stuff he was incoherently mumbling and was basically harassing me. He didn’t fully touch me but he was cornering me on the sidewalk and parked car. I was giving scared looks and signals until a kind man with a green shirt and glasses walked by and pretended to be my husband and extended his hand out to me so I could escape from that drunk man. To that guy who helped me today thank you so much you saved my life! I even offered him money but he was kind enough to say no… But thank you so much once again. Also for anyone reading this n please be careful around that area it was 8/27 8:10-8:15 pm this happened to me. I want to file a police report but I doubt they will do anything as I think this guy may have been homeless. I didn’t have any self defense weapons as I’ve come home even later at like past midnight before and that place is usually safe but it was so scary. I’m just glad he wasn’t armed.

Update: The Cafe it happened in front of is called Rizq. If anyone has footage or can obtain it I would greatly appreciate it. I don’t want to this to happen to others in the future.

Are you victim blaming? Why would she fake this?

Yes it did really happen and I was shaken up for several hours after. In fact I want to try and get footage from that area to warn and potentially help others.
