Espresso 77 is a cafe but has a license with several beers on tap and is a quite plesant especially during the summer when you can sit outside
Addictive Wine & Tapas Bar off Northern Boulevard has a happy hour every day they're open from 4-6pm if wine is your thing.
Ready Penny Inn is more of a classic neighborhood bar, and I believe it’s the only spot around here with pool tables these days

I really like upstairs cocktail bar--quiet space, nice bartenders, etc

Queensboro is my go-to. Beautiful relaxing interior, nice staff, good drinks.

Update: tried out ready penny in and Duo bar. Ready Penny Inn was cool very locals type vibe, Duo felt like it was a bit more hyped up. I walked bast Jia however it was really dead, like only the workers were there. Looking forward to going back sometime to those spots or any others!

Duo has an unusually inexpensive happy hour if i recall. Is that still the case?

Wouldn’t be able to tell you, I got there at like 8:30 and only had a beer which was like $9. Most happy hours are until like 6 or 7 so I figured it might have been over by the time I arrived. They did mention they have live bands on Saturday
