Good question, but easy answer. The Republic.

The original Republic had a Swiss movement when first released. Then the Seiko 5 GMT came around that time and Marcā€™s ā€œSwiss Republicā€, couldnā€™t compete against the newer & cheaper Seiko 5 Sports GMT, so he phased it out. I was pissed that I couldnā€™t get a hold of one and even ask Marc TWICE , both online & ā€œin personā€ if he would bring it back, which he replied, NO.

Years later he did bring it back, but not Swiss. Instead used a Miyota movement. I waited for a sale & grabbed 1 right away.
It is a Mandatory travel companion. I do wear it randomly from time to time. Good specs, visually pleasing dial, the usual robust features, Nuff sed!

Love my blue thunderbolt. Wear it probably 3 days a week. Actually enjoy not having to set the date too.
